according to my sources on hfboards.com blue jackets fans.

he apparently doesn't like playing in the AHL thinks hes NHL ready and demanded powerplay time, is this correct? this is just what I heard. If so, i'm not surprised hes on the block.

Olivier has quickly become a leader in the locker room and is producing.. He's not going anywhere after what happened this off-season. He's a glue guy in the locker room that desperately needs it.
Dach is a young, big, right shot C who will certainly play the 2C role and be good. Barron is a useful D man, who is young with room to grow.

I could see this trade being similar to the Cutter Gauthier one.
Jiricek for Zegras + pick
This would be a fair trade.

Sounds like players Montreal could use
Agreed. Habs have a Juricek level D man in Reinbacher. Didn’t say the trade would happen. Just said imo it was fair value. The Zegras deal is fair too, and is within the realm of possibility.

Kinda, that was the issue last year. This year its been more hush hush but sounds like its alot of Waddell trying to keep Walsh happy and trying to get his client a better spot.

Right now he's a AAAA player. He's too good to play in the AHL but he so lost off the puck in games, gets crushed by the rush and his skating hasn't improved one bit. Really the kid shouldn't have made it out of camp with the team but Waddell let him stay due to the issues last year. We did everything we could for him to improve but he's just not developing properly. Right now he's at best a RHD2-3 PP QB with a bomb of a shot. Not exactly what you expect from a top 6 draft pick. Fabbro pretty much took his spot right now and looks like we are going to try to get something out of him. He has talent but his skills are extremely raw right now, especially with his decision making and skating.

Maybe but I doubt he's a Waddell type player

He's so far seemed fine with playing in the AHL nowadays. His agent used to think he should be getting NHL time last year when peers Nemec and Korchinski were getting NHL time, but both those guys are AHLers this year and so he's backed off on that.

Someone break down exactly what potential Jiricek has?

Does he have dynamic offence? Doesn’t seem like it.

Bruising defence? Doesn’t seem like it.

For a defenceman that cant skate well in todays league, im just confused where all this potential talk is coming from.
