Stopped reading here. If you're going to pontificate on a subject, familiarize yourself with it first. He has very explicitly not asked to be traded. Multiple reporters have been very, very clear on this point.

and if you are going to correct someone, first sharpen your critical reading skills.

i said he is looking to be traded not asking. his agent is more than sophisticated enough to coach him to get what he wants while maintaining deniability. but if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck it is usually a duck even if it claims to be a swan. are you his agent maybe? you are sure doing a lot of gatekeeping for him in this thread.

Dach is a young, big, right shot C who will certainly play the 2C role and be good. Barron is a useful D man, who is young with room to grow.
The jackets have a roster full of kids, so let's trade away a veteran leader for more kids.

I don’t disagree. Imo this would be a fair value trade. Columbus should be trying to return a younger top 2 C or younger top four D in anything coming back. Likely the forward is what comes back. So Dach would be fair return. Zegras might be the guy who actually comes back though.

In a vacuum sure, but not after what happened this off-season.

Dach isn't a 2C. It's also not a mandatory requirement when they have a Monahan holding down 1C and Fantilli figuring things out at the NHL level and Lindstrom on the way

A slightly more credible voice on the matter:

Sounds imminent. Several teams making offers and Columbus doing their best to maximize the return. Who is that disgruntled Pittsburgh young guy they just got from Winnipeg? He’s in the same boat as Juricek and thinks he should be in the nhl, right? Maybe the return might be that Pittsburgh guy + a pick?
