Looks like Price is out. This is gonna be interesting.

Looks like Desharnais will be spearing Lundqvist tonight just like Roman Reigns from WWE.

He's in the NHL, therefore we can conclude he knows how to skate. Since we know he knows how to skate, we can extrapolate that the little tap he got did not put off his balance. Jesus.

Yes. Everyone in the nhl has incredible balance no matter what.

Have you been introduced to Brian Boyle?

Hahahahah that's how it works huh. Since you can make ridiculously dump leaps of logic let me continue:

Since he is in the NHL and we can conclude he knows how to skate and then since we can further extrapolate a little tap shouldn't put him off balance therefore we should also conclude that no player ever in the NHL should or could ever fall from a tap or when nobody is around because hey they're in the NHL and know how to skate.

So is that how "logic" works?

Hahahahaha.

Incredible analysis. So much wrong with this post, it speaks for itself.

I seriously doubt that any NHL'r would give up on a breakaway for the purpose of trying to intentionally injure a goaltender, and crash into the cage in the process thereby putting his own health at risk like that. Are people REALLY thinking he did all this? Or is this just mind games being put into play?

Its a distraction on Habs' fans part.

Its obviously big news that Price is out the rest of the series, but even before that it was all they could talk about. Better than talking about the rest of the game, which was equally horrific for Montreal.

Whatever. Same stuff happens here too. How many times have we seen this fanbase fixate on one self-defined "soft" goal and ignore the rest of the game?

Yep. the Habs (or their fans) need something to rally around, and this is all they got. Let's see what horsepoop they rally around tomorrow.

Well, there's not much to discuss about the rest of the game. The team came out flat. The pivotal part of the game, and it seems series and 13-14 season as it turns out, is Price's injury. I don't think that's a distraction; it's the biggest turning point of the season for the club.

The little tap that bent the stick about 45 degrees?

The one that clearly caused his right leg to flare out and knock him off balance?

I don't know why so many people disagree with you. It's a widely known fact that no one in the NHL has ever fallen down while skating. Ever.

Regarding Therrien:

"He didn't make much effort to avoid the contact"
Mon
"Looking to the incident, it's a reckless play"

Bad news for our Habs, they loose Carey Price for the entire serie because of the collision with the Rangers forward Kreider. Whether we think it was an accident or not, Kreider is the only one who truly knows his intention. Of course this frustrates Price's teammates so I'm curious to see how they're gonna respond and especially towards the Rangers goalie Lundqvist who is their back bone. Important fact to mention, while I was playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins, a night we were playing in Philadelphia, the players from the Flyers kept running into our goalie Marc-Andre Fleury. So I got the green light from Michel Therrien to run their goalie at the time who was Martin Biron. I got fined by the league but
It wad obviously covered by our team... They never ran our goalie again! Live by the sword, die by the sword! - Georges Laraque just posted this on his FB

Run along now.

The faster the agent, the more sensitive it is to an external contact, which is why tiny particles on the track can throw off F-1 cars (which are built by some of the finest engineers and driven by professionals). Just going a degree too steep on a racing motorcycle can also cause you to just slide off the track. More speed; more sensitivity.

Similarly, even if the contact had been minimal relative to Kreider's dimensions, so too are birds tiny compared to a jet aircraft's turbines -- and yet we've seen problems when birds get caught in jet turbines (to say the least).

I'm just furthering your point (in case visual representation isn't enough lol).

In no way, shape or form did Kreider intentionally try to take out Price. The video evidence above is the validating proof. He got a stick to his right skate. At the very worst he fell on purpose to draw a penalty. Canadians fans/players/coaches need a touch of reality.

i don't think(at least hope) there will not be any retaliation on the ice for game 2, the only retaliation i want is on the scoreboard. Winning it for Price and keeping it clean is the best way to handle it.

Clear to me that this is on Emelin. He slashed Kreider which caused him to lose balance before the puck left his stick while shooting. Also, Emelin allowed Kreider blow by him in the first place and Emelin's been doing that all playoffs. Not that I hate Emelin, but I think his big thing is the big hit and he's positioning himself too much for that instead of backing off and playing the angle better for the simpler stick check/rub out.
