Melynk was talking about the gm not the coach.

I heard rumblings of possible nhl coaching position for Richardson last year from an extremely reliable source but wanted to stay near his daughter.
I can't say who it is but could tell a mod if challenged.
I think he will be Buffalos next coach.
Buffalo is firing Dan Bylsma already?
Did not say now but in the future.
In Ottawa, we need a resume that has some winning experience. Wish we had looked at Ruff or Trotz when they were available before re-upping Cameron so quickly.
Cameron, Tourigny, Wamsley gone. Smith relocated.
OTTAWA – Ottawa Senators (@Senators) general manager Pierre Dorion announced today that the club has dismissed head coach Dave Cameron and assistant coaches Andre Tourigny and Rick Wamsley. Assistant coach Jason Smith has been relieved of his coaching duties and has been offered another position within the organization.
Cameron, 57, became the 11th head coach in franchise history when he was promoted to the position on Dec. 8, 2014. Prior to his appointment as head coach, he spent the previous three-plus seasons as an assistant coach with the Senators, after initially being hired by the club on June 23, 2011. Cameron has a career National Hockey League head coaching record of 70-50-17 (.537, 137 games).
Tourigny, 41, joined the Senators coaching staff on July 1, 2015. He spent the two previous campaigns as an assistant coach with the Colorado Avalanche. Prior to joining the Avalanche, he served as the head coach and general manager of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
Wamsley, 56, was hired by the club on July 28, 2010. A former NHL goaltender who played 407 games with the Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens, he worked previously with the Columbus Blue Jackets, St. Louis and Toronto.
Pierre Dorion will be available to the media at 12:30 p.m. today in the Senators Media Centre at Canadian Tire Centre.

LOL. Jason Smith "relocated"
Shoulda let him go too
Wow, Dorian actually had the authority to get rid of Smith... well... kinda. At least he's off the coaching staff.
Wait why was wamsley fired? He did a great job with Hammond IIRC.
Touringy should catch on somewhere else in the league fairly quickly. Wamsley should find a job as a goalie coach somewhere as well. He's not an elite goalie guru, but he's better than what some teams are rolling with at the moment.
I expect Cameron will end up back in Major Junior fairly quickly, or even possibly NCAA. He would thrive in both of those positions.
