Yeah, thats for sure but for me personally if I was to get my jersey patched id want him to play a game.

I agree. Although Danny shouldn't have trying to break free from the referee, there was no intent there to "punch" or even make contact with him. The referee shouldn't have tried to restrain him until he actually became part of the issue on the ice.

^ that's exactly it. The linesman had no business handling Carcillo the way he did. In a sense, the linesman instigated the situation. I think the league will take this into account, they should, anyway. The fact tht it's taking a few days to decide is a good sign that they are discussing it internally, not dismissing the appeal out of hand.

Think of it this way, any player not playing in the actual championship game is still worthy because it's a long season to get to that point and most players, even Danny played a role getting the team to that spot.

That's even worse. So they left the room and sat around and did **** for 3 days before making a decision. Laughable.

There is a difference between deciding something and announcing something. I also suspect that the decision has already been relayed to the Rangers so they can plan their roster accordingly. In any case, the focus should be on the game played tonight, not a marginal player who couldn't control himself on the ice.

Not sure it's automatic. Isn't the rule, play 41 games during the regular season or play play a game in the finals? Carcillo only played 31 games during the regular season. Rangers would have to petition the league to add his name--not sure how the process works.

off topic, but does that mean we get our 7th round pick back? or was the condition that Carcillo had to clear waivers and go to the pack?

A marginal player who is as responsible as anyone for getting us to where we are.

who was he replacing in his last game? thx,

Stepan due to injury, before that Brassard, before that Dorsett, if I recall correctly.

You think Dorsett is a better player than Carcillo?

The idea here should always be to collect guys who play big when it matters most. It's almost like the Boyle idiots who wanted him gone for so long.

I think Dorsett is a superior player on a shift-by-shift basis. Carcillo is more of a wild card, in that he can either have no effect or a huge effect on the game with his aggravating style.

If the Kings stay composed, I'd much rather have Dorsett in there as he contributes more each night. If they shown any signs of frustration or a lack of composure, I trot Carcillo out there in the hopes that he pushes someone over the edge.

Honestly, I bet the suspension is reduced.

They probably didn't want to announce it whilst the Hawk-LA series was going on. Would have served as a taking point and distraction to what was a great series.

My guess is it goes down to 5.

Also, if he was really gone until a possible game 7, would he be practicing with the team as usual?

I would be curious to hear what line he was not the ice with. May give an indication as to whether the Rangers know something or not.

What are you talking about? A guy asked who Carcillo subbed in for, I answered.

I literally did not say anything about one player being better then another. In fact, I argued that Carcillo has been an instrumental part in getting us TO THE FINALS.
