His reasoning was their most recent loss to the Blue Jackets, along with losing twice to the Bruins the past three weeks, losing two times this season against the Canadiens, getting creamed at home by the Senators and their loss against the Red Wings.

If you click on the link, you're part of the reason we get garbage reporters like Cox just stirring the pot.

Didn't know he still writes for thestar. Thought he just tweets and stuff.

OP should type - DO NOT CLICK, IT IS A VIRUS. Lol
actually Cox and Simmons are worse than virus.
There are a lot of Leafs fans on Twitter who are bashing Cox for writing this and saying what a hack he is.

He may want to check out the Canucks record this year if his reasoning is teams losing...

I don't think he does full time. Someone on twitter commented that Rosie was busy making an awful piece on Tory, so they had to pull Cox from retirement to make something equally as bad

A broken clock is right twice a year. He has finally hit on something.

"a team that sometimes seems more driven by the nightly mood of its best players more than team excellence" nailed it.

"The Leafs have now won only five of 13 games this season against the four worst teams in the league. " f***ing amateur hour coach.

GEEZ, if not for the games Cox mentions the Leafs would be 32-0
Quick check of the calendar...not April 1

Guess it is official Cox is off his rocker.

So what about the 'reporter" who started the Trotz nonsense when the Leafs stumbled out of the gate, TSN guy? So that makes it OK,didn't see a lot of venom for that arsehole.
Unfortunately there are no shortage of morons in this market's media. But Cox, Simmons, Feschuk are journo version of the axis of evil.

I think Cox is on to something and it’s sickening to say. Though I wouldn’t advocate for a mid season change, I think they should move on from keefe at the end of this year. He just doesn’t have the group ready for games and I think they need a change of voice. They need a nicer babcock IMO, more old school coach that has a system.

I wouldn’t say Bruce but I think Rick Bowness was the guy who would have been perfect. Players coach but still a process orientated guy who is all about details and systems. Holds players accountable.

The losing to bad teams in my opinion has nothing to do with coaching. It’s been going on for a while and I think it’s more of our players just mentally not wanting to get up for those games.
But isn't that the coach and gm a job to make sure the the players they have come to play
Nobody is saying Keefe is a bad coach but getting to game 7 and losing 3 years running
Maybe Keefe immaturity as a coach equals the leafs failure to grow up as a team

Did I wake up in 2013?

Cox pulls back the Boudreau suggestion immediately in the article just saying there's a need for a change. He might not be wrong.
