GDT: Dallas Stars at Ottawa Senators - 5PM - TSN5 / RDS2 - To Win or Not Two Wins - Cowboy Cookout at the Okay Corel Centre

Decent start but not enough zone time, as usual. Team has a very hard time getting sustained zone time. The cycling is poor and predictable. Just rim it off the boards to the next guy and hope they come out with it. Not many actual passes. Because of that, not many chance to score and not many shots.

At least they’re playing with more intensity and intention that in the last 2 weeks. If you make the effort to try to win at least it makes the games pallatable and more enjoyable to watch, even in a losing effort.

With this team it’s all about effort. Sometimes they try, sometimes they don’t. Tonight they’re trying.

I don’t know how you got this.

Did you watch the first? Not a ton of energy out there. Sloppy passes, sloppy shots. Outside of MacEwen no one taking the body.

Once again the building seems dead, and you can’t really blame the fans, there wasn’t much to cheer about.

I hate his voice of the Bell commercial with a passion.

1) 80% of our passes are not accurate passes and either miss the targetting guy or in his skates.
2) Our guys double clutch before passing (lol chabot with Norris wide open 5 feet away from goalie).
3) Our guys are fumbling passes (except Batherson who's on tonight and Stutzle).
4) Our guys are doing more thinking than moving. And their thinking hasn't been that great.

This is the middle of January. This shouldn't be the case.

Kleven had a horrific first half of that 1st period.

You know those dudes who scream "Shooooot" every time someone touches the puck in the O-zone?

Tonight I am that guy. Too many attempts to be fancy. Like an MLB pitcher calling off 9 signs in a row every time we get some minor amount of possession in the other end. Sooo frustrating.

Staois should be looking for top 6 to ignite this offense. Stutzle, Tkachuk and Batherson only ones doing anything.

It’s a tough position for Staios.

Which team are they? The team that won 6 in a row or the team that went on 5 game skids twice this year already (or 1-5-1)?

You need to see if it’s worth it to trade from our very limited amount of assets to help the group. Do you think they can make it with 1 other player? Tough to say. Might be a situation where you wait until the offseason where more options are there and often the price is better.

if you make a trade during the season it has to be a medium to long term fit. It has to be a hockey trade. We don’t have cap space. We don’t have a first next year. Other than very minor tweaks there’s not much out there for Staios IMO.

And Bruce talking down to Claire ... what an ass.

I'm tempted to roll back the tape and watch the segment to understand what you are referencing, but listening to Bruce is an experience so torturous it should be outlawed by the Geneva Convention.

He made a comment, "I've told you this before, Claire, week to week doesn't mean month to month."
