This stat is everywhere right now and it's driving me crazy. Why is no one using our record in the last 10 games played? Is it because this one makes us look worse?3-6 in the last nine won’t get it done

As much as I don't like the contents of this post, it is all very true of the Jets. Ehlers and Connor are lightweights that don't show up, against the big heavy teams.( especially Connor) Vegas is a good example of a team that has a lot of those upper middle players that always show up to play. It may be time for the Jets to make a big trade, and change the character of this team. Over the last 4 games, Connor has been basically invisible for the Jets - total non factor. What the Jets are doing is predictable and this is the pattern we have seen before. They are a team that gets lucky with a hot streak now and then that is only good enough to tantalize before they go into full regression and reel off a string of bad losses. They are chronic pretenders not contenders and look good as long as teams think they are easy, but as soon as teams view them as a legit threat and prepare seriously for them they fold like a cheap suit. Why is this? I think they have some key players who just consistently do not perform well under pressure. Ehlers and Connor are the two prime examples of this. Whenever you need either of those players to steps up when the chips are down they disappear. Talented yes, but just not mentally or physically tough. Neither of them would get past the third line on a money team like Vegas. Every time this team tanks on an extended losing jag, those two lines led by Ehlers and Connor completely disappear. For the Dallas game after the 2nd intermission I predicted that Jets would give up the go ahead goal with less than 7 min left, and right on cue they did not disappoint. This has become the modus operandi for this team over the last 7 years so much so that it is almost guaranteed to predict when they will cave. Jets need a big shake up such as trading Connor otherwise this will just rinse and repeat until their competitive window closes.
Its the first loss after a win streak. This stat is everywhere right now and it's driving me crazy. Why is no one using our record in the last 10 games played? Is it because this one makes us look worse?
What about the other 25 teams? I guess that doesn't fit your narrative.Go on.
Is that a "lower body injury" as in his body is lower than Stanley's?Not tall enough
Jet lag is still jet lag. Doesn't matter how you flew. Why do some people pretend that the jets are taking an ox wagon across the country like the Oregon Trail? They're flying in chartered jets in high end comfort.
I just think he may need to rest an injury. He isn’t even taking faceoffs. I would put Chiba on the fourth line.Sit Scheif, move Kup up and dress who? Lambert?
Chibs?
Scheif is still miles better than any replacement.
I'm the middle sister, the underachiever. My older sister by 4 years got her degree, bravely overcoming all obstacles from being deaf, went off to Europe for a year, bravely overcame the difference between ASL and USL, came back and completed law school, bravely winning gold medals and getting married. She now gets featured in magazines about how bravely she practices law while being deaf.
I got my degree, booked my year in Europe, then everything got shut down by Covic. Sat on my bum for a year, then followed a BF to Manitoba to complete an M.A. Now my baby sister by 3 years has graduated, gotten into law school and gotten engaged. And I'm going back to Van to listen to my mother, in her most tragic PhD voice, sigh about what a shame it is that I'm teaching at a community college.
What I'm excited about ----------- never mind, I should hit erase here instead of send.

My Father was near genius as far as I could tell... photographic memory... driven... helped pioneer techniques that revolutionized his field of study and work that are now recognized globally... my Oldest sister was a God medalist at her original University... very driven... went back again after the World bit her idealism in the butt to refocus her career... My Brother who is my best living friend was highly successful right out of the gate through University... and now is one of the top two executives in North America representing a Global Company...
How does this fit in with Me...? Different path... just like you... it's been a journey that has made me successful in everything I have done... I have made a lot of money for other people... I have helped a lot of persons who have worked for me succeeed (which is what I am most proud of)... and to this day I help many people day to day with their businesses... help them beyond business and when asked for, help them personally and their families...
No fancy degrees... not my parents favored path... but I have over 3000 business contacts in my Contacts List... my Lady and I have had a wonderful life together and will continue to as we work on our health together... my adult children have their own lives as they should, imperfect as they can be...
Enjoy the journey... and work on yourself for yourself and your vision... the right people and possibly a most significant person should come around... there is someone for everyone.... don't worry what others think... just do... because the wrong people will write your script regardless... feel free to shed these types quickly with no guilt...
And everyone was screwed over by the Covid years... and will be for years to come... you are not alone...
Never have regret for your choices and actions if you've tried to do positive things...
My Father always said to me after I screwed up (and I admitted it) "if you're not making mistakes... you're not doing anything"...
Sorry for the solilique...but it sounded like I needed to do something positive for you...

Thanks for posting this and for the people who never looked at it before the season even started the analytics said it is the most difficult part of the schedule for the Jets. Here's an interesting take on each teams schedule this year.

Out of curiosity, I looked at Carolina's November, since they also had a brutal month. Look what happens towards the end of it

This is an excellent team, just like the Jets... yet they lose 4 of their last 6, and get shitkicked by Florida twice
I'll spend some time looking at other teams later, but to pretend that the schedule doesn't affect a teams performance is just idiotic
I have many friends who travel for work, and then even more for holidays.I'm flying across the continent once this month, staying in Van for 16 days and then flying back across the continent. It's only a 6 hour flight but it will leave me tired, grouchy, sore back and mess with my internal clock. After two weeks when I've reset to the new time zone, I'll do the return trip to another time.
I don't know how hockey players can travel as much as they do and still perform at such a high level. There's a certain level of acclimatization but even experienced frequent flyers admit that crossing time zones leaves them at less than their best. This is partly why I get so exasperated at the way people dump on the Jets and dismiss the effects of a long road trip as "luxury travel".
Well thenAir Canada Jetz. A320s in an all 2x2 (business class) configuration with a couple of tables so you can take a closer look at the spreadsheets after the game.
Yes puncture woundsI haven't seen anything. Ville hurt again?
And it isn't even as bad as the Jets current schedule. Quality teams struggle with ridiculous scheduling because they are actual human beings and not hockey playing automatons. Here's an interesting take on each teams schedule this year.

Id add Coghlan to the list. His play was really an eye opener to me.Why include Miller in that list? He plays the right side.
I think the rest we know, though Heinola needs to play to finally prove the point, one way or the other.
Well id say Schiefele in his state is still a pretty good hockey player. I'm all for him getting some recovery time but the one benefit of keeping him playing is that he won't get rusty. Id still like to see one of our youngns get called up but unfortunately with our d platooning we don't have a lot of roster wiggle roomScheifele can't take FOs and can't shoot. Does that leave him any better than Namestnikov?
Even if the injury is relatively minor it seems to be preventing him from playing well. So what's the point of keeping him in the lineup?
And I find it insane that some are so dismissive of the travel component. If be willing to bet that those people have never had to perform at an all world level under conditions that drain mental acuity, never mind the physical component. This - so much this. What I find interesting is to observe how many posters seem completely oblivious to the many markers that suggest the team has enjoyed a short, unsustainable performance - and seemingly expect it to continue throughout the entire season. Expectations get set unrealistically high - a sure recipe for disappointment/heartache.
It's December, great time to do it. Scheif has never been held accountable......ever. it would be good for him.I just think he may need to rest an injury. He isn’t even taking faceoffs. I would put Chiba on the fourth line.
I know it’s a crazy thought, but Kupari looks like he may have much more to offer. Probably our best faceoff guy right now.
If we traded Connor and Ehlers who is going to create offense and score goals? I think both are playing well this season and if you don't think playing 9 of their last 10 on the road isn't a factor you aren't looking at this right. What the Jets are doing is predictable and this is the pattern we have seen before.
