Chytil looked so back last night. Best player on the ice. He was not ready to miss virtually a full season and then jump into the intensity of playoff hockey, but this could be a great season for him. Had 1+1 (both primary). The goal was epic because he got his legs tripped with a dirty play, was visibly upset and mixing it up with the Bruins players, and then on the ensuing power play unleashes on them. Said he used the whole summer to work on his game because he already had rest during the regular season. Great attitude.

Chmelar also played, which is a good sign for how the organization views him. Plenty of the prospects don’t even make it into the preseason NHL games. He’ll play AHL this year.

Chmelar is a second tier type Czech trying to make his way to NHL. We know he won't win a Ross or Rocket.

Just curious.. think he ever plays a full NHL season? or AHL for several years and welcome to the Extraliga (eg. Michal Teply, Filip Chlapik or Michael Spacek).

It’s hard to say. I don’t think it’s 100%, but I like how he plays. I feel he has the makings of a full time guy if he gets his shot and then takes it. His upside is like a Pierre Engvall, but maybe it doesn’t go well and he’s Julien Gauthier. Tough to say. Rangers have a lot of bottom 6 type prospects. They’ve stacked up on them under Drury. There’s gonna be competition. His best bet may be getting traded at the trade deadline as part of the return for an NHL’er to somewhere where his path doesn’t involve a lot of competition.

Yeah I thought he will play either in AHL or SHL .. CHL is a bit step down at this point for him imo.
Same.. I get Extraliga to chl. But shl to chl as a 19 year old?

My preference was

SHL
AHL
CHL

Polish division 1
Slovenia top league
Korean league

Extraliga

Petr Sikora from Trinec is a nice estimate how hard U20 guys have it in ELH lol.

Guy is 18, in last 5 games with Trinec senior he has a ppg. ELH start he had 1+1 in first three games. And his reward ? He is 13th attacker second game in the row lol

Yeah Svozil will have it very hard in CBJ, not sure if he can crack the lineup full time there. Probably a trade somewhere else would raise his chances. Idk
Yup.. we seem to have some very good prospects buried. I do think svozil will get some NHL games this season. He has to be getting high on that depth chart.

Hanara is exactly where I want him. I think he's 2 years away but I do believe he will be a good NHLer.

Spacek should also be on top pair on AHL and probably makes his NHL debut this season.

Jiricek better be full time.
Kulich better be full time.

Not confident that will happen though

The problem is that Columbus is still one of the weakest teams in the NHL, even though they already strengthened the defense last season.. Svozil played great in juniors, but the competition is just insanely tough. He may never be a full-time NHL player.. I feel like we're still talking about something, but the reality is that it's incredibly difficult to get into that league. And even a player as talented as Svozil may not be able to do it.
Unfortunately..

I like you. However, that post is a reflection of unrealistic expectations.
Peace. Peace for the whole world.
