Pasta injured or why he played just 9 mins?

This was kinda optimistic and pessimistic night at once lol.

Good things:
U20 performance
Kulich finally exploded
Vrana with another goal
Hertl got some after a minor slump

Bad things:
Pasta had only 9mins
Zacha looks like shit again
Looks like Necas hit a major slump
Chytil had basicaly nothing since he came back from injury

I've watched a couple of Laval games and he's been excellent. Well worth the recall.

On a related note.. was at the Kazakh game today. Pavelec walked by us. He's the goalie coach for U20.

Anyways . When he was playing (mostly getting shit on) he was the only permanent NHL Czech goalie. Massive improvement in that area. Neuveith was also around but he was always hurt. Eventually Mrazek joined. Now it's a nice sqaud. Patera in wings. Stezka in wings. Hrabal looking damn good. Suchanek. And none of our guys are old.

I'll take it!

It's in Czech.. tranlsate works ok on this one. Just talking about that USHL and NCAA path to the NHL. Glad more are figuring this path out. 2 of our most promising players are doing it now.. Benak and Hrabal.

Made me proud.haha He's at 7 goals.. he may get to 15. That would be a very nice rookie season and bode well for next season (and Worlds).

Also, the last 3 goals have all been Kulich style goals. Snipes. The prior ones were rebounds and tips. Dirty area goals but I've been watiing for some 'holy shit this kid can shoot' goals. Last 3 have been exactly that.

He'd better. Among a lot of underwhelming forwards this year, he's one of the best almost every night and hasn't deserved to be out of the lineup IMO. There is no reason to send him down. That line with him, Benson and Krebs is like found money right now.

hope that's the case. As you know, if they send him for a Calder Cup run and he misses the World's... I will burn things down.lol But I see that as the most likely outcome.. he plays out season and goes to AHL as a slap in the face. Hope I'm deadwrong and being dramatic.

Pretty underwhelming.. I had high hopes for Kral, Fiala, klima, Sprynar and Simek.

As you know, I was never too high on Klima. Not on Fiala or Simek either. Sprynar is surprising for me, thought he’d have a breakout year at 19. But Kral, considering where he came from, has been really impressive this year.

I think it's a great problem to have. My dream is that by 2026 that they are similar to what Russia has in kaprizov and kucherov. And that our goalies are in the Russian tier. Not saying it'll happen but that's the dream.lol
