all that to finish 4th (at best)GGs.
Sweden's first perfect RR since 2017.
Latvia probably takes them out.all that to finish 4th (at best)
You can do better than that, c'mon, once more with feeling!all that to finish 4th (at best)
2 delay of game and 2 o-zone penalties.Congrats Sweden. You were better. You deserved the win. I suspect your skill is why we couldn't keep up and kept taking penalties. Good luck with Latvia.
This is just silly talk. After the warm-up match with Canada, I wrote that we probably won't be able to play well against elite opponents. I think this match confirmed that this is true.
It doesn't matter that we made the match easier for our opponents with more completely pointless penalties (we can repeat it over and over again that we have to avoid pointless exclusions, we are still so stupid that it will happen again, that the opponent was lucky to have two lucky rebounds that they were able to use), Sweden was better in the 5-on-5 game.
If we play Canada or the USA, I see our chances of success as maybe twenty percent. Last year and three years ago, we were lucky to win matches when we were worse. Either we will play better than today, or we will probably be unlucky and not advance.
Mentioning some players from Europe here that they were not visible during the game.. ridiculous. Sweden was simply better and in the second half of the match they didn't give us any chances at all.
I'm actually saying Husa has been invisible all tournament.lol We are on a team that has scored 29 goals.. he's on the top line with Galvas and Sale. After the warm-up match with Canada, I wrote that we probably won't be able to play well against elite opponents. But why? We've played great. A 4-2 loss after that many mistakes isn't even that awful. I feel like the loss will strengthen us. Maybe the coaches change a few things too!So Canada or USA it is, I would love to be wrong but this feels like a straight qf exit without any chance. I just simply can't see czech beating one of the NA opononents in the qf.
Shame it was a good tournament for us, but today clearly showed where are weaknesses are. Next year I believe we can field a better team, but no hrabal so we will see how it goes.
The opponent was better in 5v5. Canada was a bit more better, that's the reality. And that we helped it with senseless exclusions is just our stupidity, which is repeated with iron regularity. This is just silly talk.
I was at the game. The boys played well and I thought 5 on 5 was relatively even. You take away those 4 bad penalties and this game is different.
Sure there were some negatives outside of the penalties, but to say they can’t compete with elite team is ridiculous.
When Myšák was in the team, we advanced over the USA team, which did not let us out of the zone for 10 minutes, and we were not a better team in the rest of the game. We advancedI'm actually saying Husa has been invisible all tournament.lol We are on a team that has scored 29 goals.. he's on the top line with Galvas and Sale.
I don't think this match confirmed we can't compete either. I think the quarter will be 50-50.
I disagree Goodman. When Myšák was in the team, we advanced over the USA team, which did not let us out of the zone for 10 minutes, and we were not a better team in the rest of the game. We advanced
thanks to a very poor performance by their goalkeeper.
We were lucky to beat Canada last year, when we were clearly the worse team from the second period on.
Then we beat Finland, who were in control for two thirds of the game.
Can we win against Canada or USA? Sure we can. But I don't believe that we will be completely equal opponents and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we let ourselves be stupidly excluded again. No other team keeps getting kicked out stupidly like we do. So I see our chances against these opponents as maybe twenty percent. He would have to intercept Hrabal absolutely excellently, I would have to avoid fouls and be productive in forward.
There’s a difference between Sweden being better and Czechs not being able to compete with elite teams (like you said). The opponent was better in 5v5. Canada was a bit more better, that's the reality. And that we helped it with senseless exclusions is just our stupidity, which is repeated with iron regularity.
Completely agreeI disagree Goodman.
You just made our last 3 years and a 2nd place finish in our pool sound like flukes.
I see that we have made 3 semis in a row
I see that we have eliminated Canada and US
I see the other quarter as a 9-1 demoltion of the Swiss
I see we took Sweden out in a semi
I see 2 medals and a 4th place finish
That is all excellent. And we were very good in our pool this week.
Also, I love Mysak!
And I forgot to mention that we put up 8 on Finland in a bronze game.lolCompletely agree
The team's progress with Myšák in the lineup was the result of chance and the great work of Rulík and co. (by the way, I don't believe that Myšák will play regularly in the NHL), who extracted the maximum of its potential from the team and luck also favored it.I disagree Goodman.

So be careful, this must be lost in translation, as has happened several times. It's one thing to write that the top opponents will be better in terms of play and another to write that we won't be able to compete. We almost certainly won't be better than Canada or the USA, but we can compete with them. For myself, I'll write that I like this year's team overall more than last year's. So I'm definitely not saying that we can't win a medal. There’s a difference between Sweden being better and Czechs not being able to compete with elite teams (like you said).
Again, this game could have went either way. Czechs still had 30 shots while being penalized for 14 minutes or so.
They kept pace the whole game outside of a couple bad minutes. The 3rd Swedish goal was a lucky deflection from dump in that went right to the Swedish player into a prime spot. Which then deflected off of Dvoraks skate and top shelf.
Not taking anything away from Sweden but it’s not like we were overwhelmed at all.
This game was very winnable for us and it just didn’t go our way.
I do however agree that QF is end for us.
Completely agree

The silver medal a year later was no coincidence, but again fantastic work by Rulík and his team.
Last year we advanced past the quarterfinals with a great deal of luck and anyone who claims otherwise is just telling themselves that this was not the case.
I am not denying at all that the last three tournaments were exceptionally high-quality for our standards (and this actually continues this year), but I will not tell myself something that is clearly not true.
Bullshit.. this is what you saidIt's one thing to write that the top opponents will be better in terms of play and another to write that we won't be able to compete.
f we play Canada or the USA, I see our chances of success as maybe twenty percent.
I met him this weekbut again fantastic work by Rulík and his team
And yet I claim that Myšák will not play in the NHL (maybe like young Reichel, if there is some kind of patch). Myšák is a player who left his soul on the field for the national team. But he did not convince me in hockey that he should be in the NHL. That is my opinion. If I am wrong, I am very happy to talk to him.View attachment 954274
That's the team Mysak lead.. some pretty significant players. This wasn't Mysak and Czechboy in some fluke. This may be the core of several Skoda teams going foward.
Chance my ass.lol
I agree he won't play in the NHL. Doesn't mean your point was not wrong. You make it sound like Mysak's team.. did you see all the guys on that team that I highlighted for you? Jiricek Kulich Svozil Spacek.. that team won silver a few months later. And yet I claim that Myšák will not play in the NHL (maybe like young Reichel, if there is some kind of patch). Be calm, he didn't write.Bullshit.. this is what you said
20%????
or did the translator turn 50% into 20%
I understand that 20% is a shit chance. That is what you said. I don't agree.Be calm, he didn't write.
With the right tactics, dedication from all players and avoiding stupid mistakes, a team can compete with better teams. Is that how you understand it? I don't know how else to explain it.
Where did I write that we have a 50% chance against Canada and the USA??
Myšák was the captain and it was the last year he played for the juniors. The rest of the important players played afterwards, which is why I distinguished the teams in this way.I agree he won't play in the NHL. Doesn't mean your point was not wrong. You make it sound like Mysak's team.. did you see all the guys on that team that I highlighted for you? Jiricek Kulich Svozil Spacek.. that team won silver a few months later.
You wrote that the translator supposedly changed my 50% chance to a 20% chance. So with this you got closer to an unnamed user who is also making up things I never wrote.I understand that 20% is a shit chance. That is what you said. I don't agree.
We have 50% chance against Canada. But I am not happy we have Canada again.
