GDT: Czechia vs Latvia - 3pm PT/ 6pm ET/ Midnight CEST

This was a unique scenario - usually when a team gets promoted from Division 1A, the next year their team is gutted and a lot of the players that caused the team to get promoted to the top division have aged out. This was an extremely unique situation that caused Latvia to get up to the top division - most of this team had already played together, so they were much more prepared for this tournament than any other teams.
Latvia beating Germany in the way that they did in the pre tournament caused me to believe.

If only Slovakia had beaten Finland. Czechia would then be out with 4 points which would be wild

Answering and replying to my own question, "Anyone else fascinated by the #9 v. #6 match up between Gustavs Ozoliņš and David Jiříček?," this was like the tale of two rooks. For those unfamiliar with the game of chess, the rook is a piece in the game of chess. It may move any number of squares horizontally or vertically without jumping, and it may capture an enemy piece on its path; additionally, it may participate in castling. Each player starts the game with two rooks, one in each corner on their own side of the board.
