Third goal he gambled with the stick and missed because he was too slow/tired going left to right. He made that save several times in the previous games.

Yes. He is probably worn out after facing 60 -70 shots every game.

I imagine Rossi will be on a plane bound for Minnesota shortly after this game ends. Hopefully he will have more fun/success at his first NHL camp. Not sure he will have too many fond memories of this WJC.

If you like guys who never pass the puck, miss every shot they do take, and are making mind-meltingly bad decisions with it.. sure.

I loved him in his draft year.. this tournament, hes atrocious.. a whole bunch of selfish puck hogging, bad shot selections and horrendous misses.

A smooth Czech win which nevertheless didn't tell much towards the QF. Austria was a few levels below any other team in this tournament, only Wranechsitz in the net saved them from double digits today. Rossi was completely alone, with no at least decent mate like Stützle has had with Peterka and Elias, and it was apparent how increasingly frustrated he was looking. I think Austria is going to be a bigger threat next year with a lot of returning players, namely Kasper is going to be a really good player.

The Czechs should not make any big conclusions out of this and simply focus on the QF game, where they will need to play a focused defensive trap with quick counterattacks.

Not sure why we were trying to score so hard in final minute but glad Mysak got one... Maybe some confidence.

Malik and Parik tied with 1 shutout. I'd prefer Parik in quarter personally.

2 wins is more than last year.

Quarter will be very tough...

I haven't liked him in this tourney either. Slow with slow hands and not doing much.

Given how poor he was in all games...how does Rossi get one of the awards? He wasn't even the best forward on his team...not even close. I wonder if it's still covid related. No jump at all.

Just met him in the airport. Briefly talked. Feel bad for him. He was quite down about the tournament. Even looked like he had a bit of a limp. Might not be 100%.
