GDT: Czech Republic/Czechia/El Chechiorono vs U.S.A. @7:30pm PT/ 10:30pm ET/ 4:30am CEST

One of the least impressive USA WJC roster's I can remember in the last 10+ years. They were good enough to probably be the second best team in the tourney though

Not really, we have a tough game coming up, it's doubtful this U.S team could have beat us anyway with what they had in nets.
5-1 Canada... I'd be shocked if they don't go on a Hlinka level run here tbh

Seems like that loss ended up working out just fine. They wouldn’t have played the US if they’d won.
Sweden was pretty playable as well. I'm not saying it would have ended up the same way though.

Also, are there covid fan restrictions? Why no fans? This is first game I watched.

seemed like a lack of skill.... I'm sure that's not the case.. just felt like a ton of dump and chase and not enough play making.. plenty of blocked shot attempts.. hats off to them

Things I learned from this game

1. The Czech team is a very good team and deserves a place among the other top teams.

2. Young adults/Teenagers are stupid (slewfoot and kneeing penalties)

3. You can't count adults to do their job and protect their players which should be the number one thing the coaching staff should be focused on. especially for such young players.

Cooley was real bad despite scoring. Seemed more interested in doing chippy little hits than playing offense. Samoskevich nice hands and not much else. Faber didn't show me much either.

Ultimately that stinker of a goal sank the Americans but too many individuals in this game.
