Z was highly rated in his draft year and had playmaking and line driving that we desperately needed. He was looked at at the time to be the only prospect that could end up better than Hughes. He was supposed to go before our pick so it was a bit of a surprise he was still there.

I have been getting gradually more excited about him since the trade. Even though he is a "shooting specialist", there are so many layers to his game that you only notice by time, which have stacked my excitement ever since. I think he does things that are very translatable to the NHL as well.

I wonder where he debuts in the lineup vs Vegas
I hope he can get to at least 25+25 next year, and improve from there

Unless Terry gets traded. His M-NTC doesn't kick in until the 2025-26 season.

CapFriendly recently put out Cutter's scouting report and rating. I like CF's setup such as what line/pair they're projected and the quality of play at that level. I dunno who does their scouting, but I do like their weighting system very much!
