I'm just gonna assume all these guys on their no tipping high horse have never worked in the food industry

I have worked service sector and will tip well based on service.

If it's meh service 10%. Decent 15%+.

Last time I didn't tip the waiter was so blindingly hitting on my friend it was painful. (Straight married friend, waiter didn't even clue in to that. My friend is a good dude, but not that good looking  ) Three times the waiter came to our table to chat up my friend, and ask him about another drink. The waiter didn't speak to me or acknowledge that my drink needed a re-fill.

When my friend and I decided to split the bill 50/50 this jerk started to jump in because I ate more, ignoring the fact that my friend had three beer and I only had one pop because of no refills. Either he saw the reaction on my face or realized that he was completely out of bounds but something stopped him dead in his tracks.

No, I didn't feel bad for not tipping him.
