why would there be a limit? He has a full NMC, the Flames just asked for a list of teams he'd be willing to waive for.I also thought there was a limit to how many teams he could choose, like 6 or 7

I don't like them as a trade partner either.Ah, that's it. I can't see Washington as a good dance partner anyways, unless by some miracle they'd be willing to part with one of Green, Carlson or Alzner.. which they are not.
“Washington is definitely interested in Curtis Glencross and Curtis Glencross may well be interested in Washington. He’s got a no-trade clause that allows him to specify only six teams that he could go to.
“Now, the Washington Capitals are not on that list of six teams. But he is open-minded about going to Washington because they’ve obviously had a good year and that list was submitted quite some time ago. So while it has not been officially documented with the Calgary Flames that Washington is an okay destination for Curtis Glencross, the belief is that he is open to going to Washington and that Washington is one of a number of teams that are interested.
“Chicago Blackhawks have scouts at the Calgary-New Jersey game tonight. Everybody is wondering: ‘Would the Blackhawks be interested in Jagr?’
“Much more interested in Glencross than they would be Jagr.â€
So Glencross for a Defenseman now if Gio is down?
I don't think so. I think we can call up Wotherspoon for the duration of Gio's injury.
Even if Gio was healthy, we'd still need another decent dman. Plus, we don't want to dump too many hard minutes on Tspoon.. mind you, baptism by fire might be good for him.

What, you don't think playing all three of Smid, Engelland, and Diaz is a good idea?
If Chicago is seriously looking at Glencross what about something like
Glencross @ 50% + Diaz
for
McNeill + Runblad
I was thinking
GlenX @ 50% + Diaz
for
1st + Bickell + Runblad/Erixon
Grabbing another 1st would be money.
Chicago has to move out some money this offseason, it could be a great chance to "buy" a pick.

I kind of want Erixon to see Flames fans either melt down or suddenly become hypocritesHuds, that's a great idea. I love it!!

“I think the one thing the Calgary Flames would like to do is expand his list. And we’ve reported it’s been at five. I think it’s more than that now.
“I think he’s been convinced that Washington is a good idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Rangers are asking would he consider going there at all.
“I think Calgary is taking in all the information. But I think before they make the deal, I think they’d really like to say, ‘Do we know how many teams he’ll really go to?’
“So I think that’s what Glencross is trying to process – how many teams he really is willing to go to. And there’s a lot going on. There’s a family situation too with a child on the way. That’s all tough stuff for him to process.
“But I definitely think there’s interest. I think also too St. Louis is very much in this. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Doug Armstrong was scouting their last two games. I don’t believe in coincidences.
“So to me, what it really is all about is how could the Calgary Flames put the maximum amount of teams in this to get this done.”
Combine those three into one player, and I wouldn't care if our bottom pairing was Tspoon and Sieloff
