, I read it wrong. Not sure what they'd be scouting us for then. Both are rebuilding teams. Pure speculation on this CP poster's post, but he said since we are both rebuilding teams, perhaps there could be a bigger deal in place with AZ and CGY?

I don't think this has anything to do with Glencross; probably the wrong thread to put it in, but we have 3 on the go and I just kind of went to the first one i clicked on lol.
With Poirier making an appearance along with Ferly... Makes me nervous that we might be showcasing them in front of Arizona. I hope it has nothing to do with Vermette.

Was thinking the same thing. Though, I think we can breathe a breath of fresh air, given that Treliving has said numerous times that he does not want to trade any assets that'll hurt our future.

For some reason, the first thing I thought of when Ferland was recalled was that it was to showcase him. It could be that Flames brass are not satisfied with his level of consistency and figure this is as high as his value is going to be with what he does bring to the table. Packaged with Glencross, he might fetch a decent return, though my heart was honestly set on Sekera.

I didn't even think Washington was one of the teams on Glencross' alleged list
Edit: I just saw that the Caps blogger suggested they'd be parting with Chimera lol yes, because a 35-year old LW is exactly what this team needs

Don't worry, it has nothing to do with Vermette, I'm confident about that. Treliving has stated multiple times he's not parting with futures for a rental. I think they may be looking at doing a hockey deal, players very well could be on showcase. We have an abundance of young forward prospects, if we don't do some kind of deal at some point, then we'll lose those assets for nothing. Clearly Wotherspoon showed the Flames he's not ready, at least this season. Me and AF mentioned Murphy and Gormley the other day, I think it's highly probable that if a were done involving our clubs it would involve one of those 2 for a deal involving Granlund, Ferland or Poirier. I'm thinking/hoping the main piece from our end Granlund.
With the Treliving connection, it makes a ton of sense. The Yotes truly lack skilled forward prospects. They are rebuilding, I could see a deal getting done.
