If you have trouble with HF ads, then just use Brave browser. It doesn't require you to be "internet savvy", it's just block them. Reading complaint about ads makes me feel people here are 77 years old like my dad.
I think the users are great too. I dont think the site is. The site has built a reputation a long time ago but hasn't really done anything to improve the forums. That's the issue. They shouldn't be running such an aggressive ad format, especially on mobile that actually impacts user interaction. That's bad design, and bad business practice. If you're making your site stinky to sell ads in the most aggressive way possible, then you're doing it wrong. There is no competition with this level of quality. In terms of USERS. You won't find a better collection of fans to discuss hockey other than here.
Quick question — if you were to be traded to Carolina, would you be willing to sign there long term?
The point of the site is to sell ads, not talk hockey. This has been the case for years now. As a user, you accept that and just solve it yourself.I think the users are great too. What I'm telling you is that if you should currently have an active sponsorship, PM me (or another admin) and we will get it reinstated.
I know that. My only gripe is that they have so many users and they have no competition that means they can really improve their business and user experience at the same time. The point of the site is to sell ads, not talk hockey. That's likely true, but that would require effort and cost. Isn't having a website I could've designed in -98 a better business practice if you still get all the money and none of the costs?I know that. They can afford it. Trust me. If you invest in your business and improve your capital then not investing is being lazy. Which is what I think this site has become. If they put in an ounce of energy then their premium membership wouldn’t essentially be “pay to stop seeing ads”. They could offer more if they tried. That's likely true, but that would require effort and cost. If you're taking this personally, I'm sorry. I don't know who actually runs this platform. It's just ran poorly.
Real talk pimps, do the admins have any say about the site or are you guys just admins

Blaming this on DOGE and there's nothing you can do about it.
so everyone who made an account within the last year still ended up losing theirs?
And you can’t sell ads if no one wants to use it as a discussion board because it’s a craptastic product. This is a fundamental sales model tenet. The point of the site is to sell ads, not talk hockey. This has been the case for years now. As a user, you accept that and just solve it yourself.

It was the Brits fault we should have another revolution.
Case in point being I just tried to use the edit function on the above post and guess what, it doesn’t work again, like earlier today. And you can’t sell ads if no one wants to use it as a discussion board because it’s a craptastic product. This is a fundamental sales model tenet.
Please don’t encourage them to modify the programming code.As long as I don't have to mark 20 SPORTSBOOK notifications as read everyday, I'm cool. How about "OPT OUT" option to Sportsbook, if it's too hard to fix.
