I was crushed seeing McJesus pot that goal, but the consolation was the goalie that won us our cup standing out and quieting some of the haters up north. Bottom line, he’s a big game goalie. Proud of him. We’ll see you boys from the north in the Olympics!

Oh wow, did that happen? I was busy watching the game and then........you know.........Canada won the game and so I watched a bit more. Leafs fan here by the way so you got one guy you can't paint with the same brush.

I thought Binnington was our biggest weakness going into this tournament. I will eat that crow now. What a huge tourney for him and that OT... wow. Solid.

I groaned when Bin was announced as the starter today...I thought it was a sure loss for Canada.....he really did rise beautifully to the occasion and proved his many detractors wrong.

And Binner- that glove save in OT (with that beauty red glove btw) was a highlight.

Slavin- the Floyd Mayweather of the NHL. I don’t like it, but I respect it.

B Tkachuk is such a shit heel- didn’t think he was good enough to matter in this sorta game. Disappeared later though.

Edit- oh, and Matthews. I love to clown on the leafs, I’ll continue to do so because the leafs will continue to fail, but both their stars showed they can elevate their play.

Pretty much every Canadian for Binnington considering the game he had today.

I had very little interest in this tournament but it was great. Should do something like this every year when the Olympics isn't happening.

I'm not sure who redeemed themselves more, Binnington or Marner. Both players had been ridiculed over the years (for very different reasons), and many fans said neither had a place on this roster.

And yet they were the most important players of tonight's game. Without Marner's clutch, artistic passing, Canada doesn't score two goals. Without Binnington coming up huge, Canada doesn't survive OT.

Biggest crow eaters should be the people who whined that guys like Caufield, Keller, Bedard etc weren’t invited. “Bring the best players!”

This was a big boy’s tournament and they would’ve all been on the menu.

Proud of the U.S. effort. We’ve never been able to actually matchup with Canada until this week. Cant wait for the Olympics next year

Someone described his style as “drunk kung fu” or somethin earlier, and at one point he fell into the net awkwardly trying to seal the post. He was backwards not knowing where the puck was numerous times. And then he goes all Matrix-mode in OT- fun goalie. Stay weird, goalies, don’t let ‘em coach it outta ya.

Lol yeah, I thought the same thing. There were several times I was like "what on earth are you doing?", but the drunk kung fu worked!

I'll fully admit that I didn't think the players would perform to the level that they did.

However, the reason I didn't think that is because I knew if they did, it would result in injuries - which it did.
