Greatest lyric ever AINEC

As for Frank Ocean, I was initially intrigued by the guy with Channel Orange but.......I was not superbly impressed by his latest work. I find his music a tad boring overall, the R&B's version of the xx. I wanna get excited a little, ya know?

Also, I put up Linkin Park earlier but I admit to looking over the "favorite band/musician" part, doh, so I'll come up with another one in its stead, my ultimate guilty pleasure band:

The Killers

Brandon Flowers comes across as a jerk in interviews.

My favourite band has to be Nickelback, but my favourite artist is Scott Stapp.

Jk...it's the Weakerthans

Never heard of them. Clearly nor has anyone else. Probably for a reason.

Barenaked Ladies.

Does humor belong in music? Maybe. But excessive quirkiness can be nauseating.

(Jane is a great song)

Melvins

Sideshow Bob failed at every attempt to kill Bart. Equally, his clone Buzz, has failed at every attempt he has made to create good music.

The one who made "Raver Girl"? I like some of his songs but can easily end up in cheesecore sets.

Chris Liberator

Don't know him.

Matthew Good, or if you don't know him (or his band), Tragically Hip. If you don't know either, then **** you! (then Pearl Jam or Foo Fighters).

Loved Matthew Good Band but he went completely off the rails after band breakup and subsquent divorce. Still had a decent song or two here and there but it was never the same.

They're from Chicago, where I live, so I'll rate them slightly higher than the average hard rock trash.

The Verve

Should have never gone away from the dream pop sound from their first album. Sure Richard Ashcroft wrote "Bittersweet Symphony" the best song he had ever written, but apart from that everything outside of that I always found Urban Hymns quite dull. Half of that crap is overproduced banality, than again I found majority of britpop like that and it has always left a bad taste in my mouth.

since I've been listening to A Tribe Called Quest nonstop I'lll go with them.

"Oh hey, I dug for years to find this obscure jazz record so I can sample 5 seconds of it. No one is going to recognize it anyway. Now I'm going to write some safe rhymes to go over it so I don't offend anyone."

(I love them though I haven't gotten the new one yet)

I never really had them...

Van Halen

3 different vocalists couldn't change how cheesy and overrated their music really is, every time I hear "Jump" being played at a sporting event I want to rip my ears off.

The Arctic Monkeys.
