This. The core is just simply doesnt care. I never watch them and come away saying “thats a team that cares”. They need a shake up and a big way this offseason.

1) Call Ottawa and offer Fox for Brady Tkachuk. Fox has been inflated due to qb’ing an elite pp unit. Its a pp unit thats made guys like tda and gustaffson look elite.

2) toughen up the blue line with Zadorov after trading lindgren for a 2nd

3) sign Brandon Montour

4) trade goodrow for a bag of pucks

Trouba is a case study in what they value when it comes to playing the right way.

He throws things when the team plays bad, does big hits, and is generally a standup guy.

Today, when he needed minimal effort and a minimal understanding of fundamentals to prevent the winning goal, he stood there with his dick in his hand.

Drury didn't sign Trouba, it needs to be said, and Gorton's stink of "we're gonna do character but character is being an ape and skating slow" is still all over this team.

Unfortunately, unless you want to embarrass Trouba and the org, captains are usually untouchable in the middle of the season.

Zibanejad’s play since he signed the extension makes it obvious what Drury wanted Eichel.

Why does anyone think Drury didn’t view Zib>Eichel. Also it’s not like the only options were trade for Eichel or extend Zib for eternity at 8 million

Trouba, Mika, Panarin, Kreider. They play passive, and it trickles down. Don’t care about the injuries, bottom 6, Goodrow/Bonino, Laviolette, etc. Those 4 don’t handle success well and don’t play with the mindset a cup winner needs their leaders to play with. Don’t care about charts or point totals either because it’s going to take a miracle for this team to get past the 2nd round of the playoffs.

I really tend to ignore people who want to play semantics as if falling in the standings overall means nothing, as if us continuing to lose playing the way we are means nothing. Not worth the response, even if yours was a good one.
