Last night on one of the NHL network shows they said Smith would not be in net tonight vs the Kings.

That's not a good reason to have him at every game. In this condensed season it's important to give some time to the backup. What's the point of having 2 good goalies if we only use 1 of them?

I don't know if I would play him in this game. My point is that "Quick is playing well" is not the best reason to keep Bernier out. Quick is going to play well a lot this year.
