That makes 40 wins for the Rangers, good for 3rd in the East. Considering there's no points given for OT losses in the playoffs, that's a pretty good sign for the Rangers. We're inconsistent but this is a damn good team.

We have the pieces to be a great team, but like you said, lack the inconsistency.

Brad just said McD has been given a bigger leash this year offensively. IIRC Torts yelled at him last year for scoring a goal while taking a risky chance. Torts also refused to give him PP time.

I remember that. It was his toe-drag goal against the Leafs.

The Rangers have shown us that sucking in the 1st period is not a sign of how the game will play out. Even the 2nd period. In the 3rd periods we have been stellar.

Did you guys see what happened in Edm the other night ? The fans threw an Edm jersey on the ice .

It actually started 2-3 months ago or so. A fan threw their jersey on the ice. Coach Eakins said afterwards something to the effect of 'that fan quit on our team. We don't want people like that as fans.' Since then replica jerseys have been thrown on the ice 4-5 times. I believe this is the first time an Oiler has thrown one back though.
