The Bruins are old and play slow. The Wings and Sens are young and play fast. Imo this is the year one (or both) of those two clubs pass the Bruins in the standings. The Bruins will finish fourth or fifth in that division and miss the playoffs.

I’m not going to argue with any criticisms here. I haven’t got time for that. I will say this season so far is poorest on ice performance I’ve seen in a very long time. The system has all but been eliminated and the caveman-like play has been embarrassing. When I see a PP at 13% and PK at 75% after 15 games of .500 hockey, it’s time to fire the coaching staff. Especially after the UFA signings in the off season. Sorry, but time to move on. 84 f-cking penalties called against and no other team is even close. Caveman!!

It is very early in the season, far too early to bury the Bruins. They just look mortal this year for the first time in a long time.

Ages of key players. The guys who lead their clubs. All teams have younger guys on cheaper contracts. The Bruins are old and slow in their core, especially when compared to the Wings and Sens. So watching these teams’ play it’s clear two are young and fast. One is old and slow.

Goalposts moving like they have wheels on them. Of the key players who lead the club, i.e. Pastrnak, McAvoy, Marchand, Swayman, only one is older than the average age of the team. So just admit you thought the Bruins were older than they actually are before you make a bigger fool out of yourself than you have already.

Are you sure about that? Because when I sort by clicking on average age on that site, Boston is 25 (and younger than the site I gave). Ottawa is 24, and Detroit is 11. But ok, we'll use those numbers.
