Could this be the year the Bruins finally miss the playoffs?

They've been the Boston ruins since 2015, Chara retiring, Bergeron retiring etc ... I wouldn't bet money against them if I can't afford to lose it.

Made it to the Final on 2019, great regular season in 2023. They both ended in disappointment but hard to be mad about either. It isn't like they were 92-93 Senators-bad.

Their still a better team imo than the other wild card hopefuls.

We'll see. Their defense is proving to be very over rated. Knies basically lived untouched in their netfront causing 2 direct goals.

The true test will be once Monty gets fired if they rebound or not.

They look like they are going to have problems with scoring. They also are slow on the back end.

I still think they find a way to get in.

I don't think they are very good but i mean... i don't love the competition for the WC spots either.

Their PP looked awful last night, they never felt like a threat to score, in fact the only quality chance that I can remember from last night that came on a Bruin PP was David Kampf's short handed breakaway

Both Lindholms suck, Elias was bad in last playoffs, so this trend continues this season. What happened to Hampus L? He was so much better couple of years ago. Anyways, Virus is handing out reverse jinx threads like atm, rejoice bruins fans.
McAvoy has been brutal too. Ruins more powerplays than the opposition

He's been terrible defensively for almost 2 years now but was coasting on his reputation and escaped most criticism because the Bruins were still winning.

When they need him really to badly help them, he is showing he is not a #1 D

Yup. The Bruins got killed by Leaf speed and elite skill. They will get passed by Ottawa.

Not sure if serious.

Boston was beat by Special Teams last night as well as them not burying the 5-7 great chances they had. Stolarz played well.

Long term, Boston has the chops to likely right the ship enough to make the playoffs. I shared what I think their weaknesses are.

Dont see them missing the playoffs. But this is the weakest team they've had in a long time. Offensively they're really not a threat.

Might have to see what they add at the trade deadline

People also dont talk about how bad Mcavoy and Carlo have looked. They look like they've regressed badly

I don't understand spending 6M on a bottom pairing dman when they need scoring so bad.
