I doubt Colorado even thinks of trading Makar, let alone adding for Marner. So I'm confused then. Is Marner worth a blue chip prospect or not?

Maybe. He might want to buy a retirement house here.
If serious - this thread is disgusting.
So then Marner don't have the value everyone says he does? I think every fan base has a tendency to overate their players.
People are entitled to their own opinion, just like you are.
Such a bad take. I'd love to have him but you don't trade a 23 year old for a 36 year old.I know cap space is a problem, but moving Marner would open a lot of things up. If OV's goal is to win more cups and pass Gretzky, what better place to do it than in the center of the hockey world? Age be damned, he's still a prime player. Matthews, Tavares, Nylander, Ovechkin, and the rest would be a contender for the next 5 years easily.
It would be beneficial to OV, Toronto fans, but also MLSE because it would be a huge marketing opportunity for them.
I think he would have a much better shot to win another cup in Toronto than Washington, in addition to finishing up that record.
One step closer to the HHOF...
Only way you could do it.think he'd sign for $750K / Year?
Malkin + OV get together and head to Florida.

Makar isn't a prospectSo I'm confused then. Is Marner worth a blue chip prospect or not?
