Barkov would be the only Finnish player who could make an all Europe team, again at this point in time.

You mean that they are 3rd liners on the Canucks?? No, for your information they are still the stars of the Canucks by a wide margin

Edit: Daniel had 28 goals this season. Pretty good for a "third liner", last year he was still top 10 in NHL scoring, and now with Louie they will have some decent company for the first time in a while. Look out for the Sedins next season. They´re still star quality players for at least one more year.

Russia counts in all sports to Europe. 85 percent of the Population life in the european part. So it's much more influenced from Europe as from Asia.

And also it's history is far more entangled with Europe than with Asia. And since the border between Asia and Europe is entirely artificial and thus political, that's the most important thing.
