What does self imposed quarantine mean? Like after 6pm --> 6am?

That would be a curfew, which is something I can see instead of a quarantine. Both would cause a bunch of issues and a lot of panic. Feds should not be issuing country-wide things like this. That's a city/state kind of thing, because clearly places like Montana or the Dakotas, with no known cases, don't need it, while it's something that places with more widespread issues could have in place.

Self imposed quarantine? aka shut everything down except non-essential services and groceries/pharmacies?

If it's to be interpreted anything like the way it's been in Europe the last week or so:
People with flu or cold like sympthoms or those who have travelled to higher risk areas, should quarantine themselves. The can go outside, walk the dog etc. but should stay away from big crowds, shops, gyms and so on.

FYI - hearing from congressional contacts that we see Trump announce a national, 30-day self-imposed quarantine this afternoon. At the very least, have it on your radars as a possibility for planning purposes.

Would assume the announcement will come after the market closes. Gives them the weekend to process it and everyone else can go into a panic.

We're already doing that, no? An official announcement wouldn't change anything, so I think it's something more drastic like what Italy has done.

We'll need it soon enough, Amtrak runs through here from Seattle. Hoping they shut it down to keep the spread contained.

Yeah, I was. Now you're making me regret switching venues, haha. Oh well, if we hit it off we can always go there some other time.

Probably a good idea to switch, but definitely check it out when all of this settles down a bit. It's a great spot and a lot of fun.

If the measures are anything like what they've imposed here in Norway, it's going to be rough. We're expecting an avalanche of bankruptcies. Still better than allowing this to spread uncontrollably. Stay safe, everyone.

Expected at 3 pm.

Health insurance client is also hearing 30 days. We’ll find out shortly.

Testing is about to fly through the proverbial roof. Number of people with it will jump because they can finally be tested.

and in turn the mortality rate will plummet. People love numbers. As the officials have said, it'll be at 1% or less. The numbers infected is probably astronomically higher. Can't get tested with mild symptoms. Most with mild symptoms wont bother to go get tested.

I believe it'd be in line with Season Flu numbers but with no children being affected. A weird aspect in all of it.
