Anyhow, seems the Jets were both buyers and sellers today.

Not really a fan of the Sanford deal but I guess this gives the perception that we are still going to try to make the playoffs.
Yup, and at the price of a 5th, hard to be too upset about it. Overall a successful day (hinging on the Copp return).

How are you guys doing? Zac Jones is small but very silky smooth and talented. Hajek has some tools and great skating but has struggled to put it together in any meaningful way in the last 3+ years. Robertson a good defensive D prospect.

We just wanna know who tf it is .

Robertson looks like a guy the Jets would like. Can't talk Jets D around here without needing to scream about size haha.

This is what people forget. Copp for anything is better than Copp for nothing.

We will of course see lots of complaining no matter what it is.

Technically the "nothing" is keeping Copp for a better shot at the playoffs

Twitter is scared about Libor Hajek. I also follow people that have a tendency to err on the side of extreme pessimism, so you know.

Can't say I've watched enough of him to have a real opinion but the people I tend to trust are seemingly leaning the same way.

I don't think so. People have to remember that Lehkonen is a RFA and they will hang on to him. His worth is more than rental. Getting multiple picks + a prospect they like for Copp is really solid IMO

Depends on the prospect.

Given the same point in the draft, I would rather have one 1st than two 2nds. But given that it is a late 1st, the 2 seconds could be just as good. The curve on the pick value has flattened out by then. So it might be like 2x15% chance vs 1x20% chance - made up numbers.

I'm sure Andrew Copp would've definitely accomdated being extended and then traded somewhere he had no control over.

When Chevy does his presser we'll see how part of this went. He may have been asked already, he may have just been getting shopped the last 48 hours. Doubt we'll find out specifics, but you'd hope they'd at least have the convo, but I think he's probably been sitting on Copp as an own rental for awhile and even Copp reiterated that was the idea when he signed.

Please Understand
Hajek isn't even a prospect anymore imo. He's 24 with nearly 100 NHL games. I don't think k he fits the profile at all.

Not sure why we'd trade for a dmen the requires waivers with how deep our dcore is right now.

As I said, they err on the side of extreme pessimism. Love the passion, but hate the constant negativity.

to late? how is it to late? omg w/e believe fake rumors because you just want to complain about the jets making a horrible move..

Too late because that has already started.

I'm not believing any rumours, fake or otherwise. I figured it out for myself.

You can only get what you can get. We weren't getting Barron out of Colorado for Copp and even then there is no guarantee it was some kind of game changer for us anyway.

You get what you can get and squeeze teams that really wanted him. If we get multiple picks and prospect they like for Copp that is a really good haul for the Jets

100% disagree.

RFA is hugely important. Allows you to keep a cost controlled player for more than 1 season, when you have a team that is contending, getting good middle 6 players at good prices is massively important because you will be paying your stars tons.

At least your disagreement is not wishy-washy.
