copp wasn't that right deal so don't understand that commentExactly.

Yup, and at the price of a 5th, hard to be too upset about it. Overall a successful day (hinging on the Copp return).Anyhow, seems the Jets were both buyers and sellers today.
Not really a fan of the Sanford deal but I guess this gives the perception that we are still going to try to make the playoffs.
Chevy might have hit a pothole on his way to Staples to fax the final paperworkWinnipeg doesn't have wifi , no wonder we don't know what's going on.
How are you guys doing? Zac Jones is small but very silky smooth and talented. Hajek has some tools and great skating but has struggled to put it together in any meaningful way in the last 3+ years. Robertson a good defensive D prospect.
From what Avs fans said Barron was off the table for a rental, so makes sense.
Should have been shopping extended Copp for weeks, but eh.
The right deal (a player with a contract).Exactly.
This is what people forget. Copp for anything is better than Copp for nothing.
We will of course see lots of complaining no matter what it is.
Twitter is scared about Libor Hajek. I also follow people that have a tendency to err on the side of extreme pessimism, so you know.
They lost there shit over Pionk so yeah take it with a grain of saltTwitter is scared about Libor Hajek. I also follow people that have a tendency to err on the side of extreme pessimism, so you know.
I don't think so. People have to remember that Lehkonen is a RFA and they will hang on to him. His worth is more than rental. Getting multiple picks + a prospect they like for Copp is really solid IMO
I'm sure Andrew Copp would've definitely accomdated being extended and then traded somewhere he had no control over.
It appears Sakic felt differently. I don't see much of a threat to the Avs next year either so Lehkonen next year makes sense for them.
Hajek isn't even a prospect anymore imo. He's 24 with nearly 100 NHL games. I don't think k he fits the profile at all.
Not sure why we'd trade for a dmen the requires waivers with how deep our dcore is right now.
to late? how is it to late? omg w/e believe fake rumors because you just want to complain about the jets making a horrible move..
Depends on the prospect.
Given the same point in the draft, I would rather have one 1st than two 2nds. But given that it is a late 1st, the 2 seconds could be just as good. The curve on the pick value has flattened out by then. So it might be like 2x15% chance vs 1x20% chance - made up numbers.
well you were completely wrong so..Too late because that has already started.
I'm not believing any rumours, fake or otherwise. I figured it out for myself.
100% disagree.
RFA is hugely important. Allows you to keep a cost controlled player for more than 1 season, when you have a team that is contending, getting good middle 6 players at good prices is massively important because you will be paying your stars tons.
