Controversial opinion: I'd rather we lose big this year then barely make the playoffs

We don't have the mental toughness to play in the playoffs either. Tkachuk, Zub and Giroux would be the only player that consistently show up.

What's "playoffs"? I think I've heard about that once, but it was so long ago....

It'll be tough as a fan, but even a 10% shot at getting Bedard is worth far more then throwing together some pointless run at the end of the season only to get beat in the playoffs. Its clear we aren't a team that can compete well this year and Bedard is a generational talent. He may not pan out but more likely then not any team that gets him will be contender for the next decade.
Tell that to Chabot who was been with the team for 6 years and still hasn’t even experienced playoff race hockey yet.

Yeah this team needs experience in the playoffs and learn how to win. Its not meaningless for a young team to lose in the first round its part of the progression. I personally cant handle another losing season I dont think. But thats what were getting. I just wanted meaningful games but I dont think were seeing any of those this year.

Blah blah blah blah I'm joining the winning team over here. Had enough watching this rookie coach.

The winning team is the one that gets Bedard, full speed ahead guys. You're doing great guys! Moral victories and stuff. Wooo.
