We just got to accept that theyll coast and play at 70% intensity for now. We saw what they can do at the end of that game, its clear to me theyre chilling until games get more important. Theyll step it up when we get closer to the playoffs, im sure.

I don't think it's that. It's gotta be the bug goin through the room.

A good litmus test will be the first 5 games after the 4 Nations. Everyone "should" be healthy by then. If they keep playing like this then we got our answer.

I think the team has been looking like a group that has been fighting off the flu. I believe a different guy has been out in each of the last three games. I thought they looked better most of the game and had a bit more energy. But did look gassed a bit in the third. Gotta get through it and into the week off for everyone to get healthy again.

Nah it was the best goaltending mobility you will ever see, he was never out of position

I know the play was really fast, so I'll so it down for you, the player made a pass to a wide open player. The goalie thought his defenseman was going to cover the pass, he did not, so the pass made it to the uncovered player, but he missed the open net with a shot.

I hope that helped tambo, you're also so confused by the speed and sport

No we don’t? This is a silly overreaction. Watch some other teams no team looks 100 percent locked in every game over a season

NHL needs to ask themselves how they can call that penalty on Ekholm yet ignore the Schenn boarding penalty minutes later or the more obvious Draisaitl interference in OT. Both of these (one against each team) were infinitely worse than what they called on Ekholm. I mentioned it in the GDT but you can’t help thinking about Tim Peel after a game like this and there are an awful lot of games like this.

Glad we won but …

I would like to see more offense from this team. We make every goalie look way better than they are. At some point its not just the other goalie. Not enough greasy goals, traffic and potentially the forward composition.

Feels like anyone not named Mcdavid or Draisaitl can score with any sort of consistency.

Team had a chance to salt this one away on the PP but they haven’t had any swagger this year.

Secondary scoring has been a problem through multiple seasons but I feel like it gets going eventually in January most years. Its February now, and were still not seeing it. The forward group should be way more productive than they are.

I think McDavid and Draisaitl play too much. Knoblauch needs to get more guys going or management needs to figure things out.

I mean we are a very good team, but I hope management is aggressive to give our best players the best shot possible moving forward.
