Connor McDavid Needs to Stop Tweeting Product Endorsements

Yeah the point they're making is, you can't only tweet endorsements. People don't follow an athlete because they were hoping to exclusively be sold things. Need balance.
Not sure I understand the motivation for Connor here. You're explaining why people might want more, not why Connor might want to do more.
 
I say endorse away, even though I miss the old school endorsement day:

Yeah, he can do whatever he wants. It's still tacky. But the type of person who follows individual players on Twitter is most likely unaware of that.
 
He seems like a pretty boring guy, so why would you want him to tweet other stuff. Just let him be good at hockey and a completely uninteresting guy outside of it.

Yep. The point people are missing (probably due to not actually reading any of the article) is that people will stop following him if all he does is advertise, and in turn, advertisers will stop paying him (as much) to advertise.
 
Absolutely disgusting behavior by a player who should be the face of the NHL. I'm watching the oilers game right now and McDavid has plastered the boards with ads.

Sad!
 
The only thing upsetting about this is I wasted my time reading that article and I gave that author a page hit. :(
