Post-Game Talk: Well we knew it would be a slog

No kidding. It’s the SCF, games are going to be and should be close. Teams don’t make it this far to roll over just because of one 2OT loss. You’d think we’re down 0-2 judging from some of the reactions in here.
I want one of those 8-1 games from last year.

I have already said that the team didnt play well in game 2.

The only outcome for you seems to be all about impending doom.
I am just trying to suggest that they just need some minor adjustments because they are still in a very good position to win what will be a very close series.
I think winning both home games was our chance to win the series as I believe that with Floridas depth and last change we are a very easy team to shut down. Especially with Knoblauch current obsession with just loading McDrai and praying for the best.
Losing Hyman will be the difference and I stand by that.

The most likely scenario is come back home 1-3. Can we comeback from that? Absolutely. I actually see this worse than it was last year.
Florida easily handled us in 3 and got complacent which brought it to 7. This year especially with losing game 1 I don’t see them doing that.
Our defence is better this year but without Hyman our forward group is much worse and that’s been showing up the last couple games with Knoblauch having to double shift McDrai.
Now things can change but Florida is much better than every team we have faced thus far.

The magic isn’t gone we’re just playing a better team. Two teams head and shoulders above the others clashing in the finals. It’s why both games have gone to OT.

Depth is gone yet Arvidson, Kapanen, Perry, Kane, Podz etc.. have all already had big moments in 2 games.

Skinner outplayed Bob game 1 and Bob outplayed Skinner last night.
I don’t know, based on what I’ve seen I think Toronto is better than we are.

High ankle sprains can take months to recover from.
He is a big body that can score. I wouldnt give up on this player just yet.

Having had one myself, they are an absolute pain in the ass to recover from (and incredibly easy to have set backs when you think it’s healed up). I have more patience for this player than some because of that. I think he’s been good with that in mind, and has more to give

Really?
Based on what exactly?
What has happened in the history of this years playoff run so far that makes you so convinced that is the most likely outcome?

Nurse and Kulak are dog shit together. I calkled this games ago. I'd rather have stetcher in for one of them
I agree, they can work in the regular season but both are more of puck transporters than puck moving defensemen. Add to this that Kulak has to play on his offside to accommodate the much higher paid Nurse and Nurse still struggles mightily to break the puck out. Nurse seems to work with Stetcher but I don't know how well Stetcher would work with Kulak or against the forecheck of the Panthers. We know that Kulak-Nurse ain't it and so do the Panthers.

Spec is such a bitch. Sulk?

Can't say I'm a fan of the "story line" from any of the sports media. Haven't watched any since Marchand's double OT goal. Not a single second. Yes, I know I'll watch hours of content "to lead me by the nose" before puck drop for game 3. I'm only human.

All I can "sulk about" is this one particular notion that I've had for quite some time now; the deduction that building up the Oil with Connor and Leon just to have them knocked down in the postseason year after year is the little rats best narrative and finest achievement over his 32 years as chief league manipulator.

How do you think they're feeling about the double OT goal in Montreal, Toronto or all of the Americas. You know Gary Bettman is the little rat.

Were letting Bennett and the two rats play their game. Hate to say it they have been highly effective. It's past time for us to do something about it!

I agree.
I had one when I was in my 20's. A year later I tweaked it. I got a reminder of the injury on a hike just by stepping on some uneven rocks on a pathway. The exact pain I experienced a year before shot all the way up my leg.
Freaked me out. Then it seemed fine the next day.
Really tricky injury and I cant even imagine what a pro athlete deals with when trying to heal that injury considering how many times they tweak it.

You have got to be f***ing kidding me. If anything Florida underestimated the Leafs. In this series both teams respect the hell out of the other team. Yes their series went 7 games but there were at least 2 blowouts in that series including game 7. This series is all of 2 games deep and the first 2 games needed OT to decide them. This is as close as a series can possibly get through 2 games. There is still an entire story to be written here so keep this kind of crap to a minimum please.

It starts with getting them out of the crease to help Stu. This is where a guy like Nurse should be earning his $. Just keep roughing them up and moving them out of the way.

Toronto won their first 2 games at home and took Florida to 7.
Florida hasnt seen a team at the level of the Oilers so far.

You have a whole lot of doom and gloom predictions but the problem is you have little to no substance to support them.
It only took 1 double O/T loss for you to get to this place as well.
That says something.

based on the fact that series are all about momentum and Florida has all the momentum now. Winning a big 2OT game, getting to come home in a building.
The fact that Edmonton is 4-9in the McDavid era in Sunrise. (2-5 in the past 3 years). We don’t play well in that building. The fact that our special teams are a problem, Florida has a great PK and PP.
The fact that the magic has work off our depth.

Now this team has shown that it can flip a switch. I mean technically best case is coming back with 2 wins but I think the chances of that are near nothing. The hope is a split but most likely is losing both.
