This team is incapable of winning in way that doesn't cause extreme mental stress, but a win is a win. We crushed them so hard today at even strength it's not even funny. Could've been a very lopsided score without Hill standing on his head and RNH's dumbass penalty.

Well they sure eased their way into it, but chipped away (2nd especially they were all over them like a cheap shirt and kept going). 'Old man' Perry gets that crucial late one in the 1st, Hyman gets a nice snipe to energize it late and Brown with a beauty solo effort. FINALLY A GAME 1 WIN! Aim for the home sweep of them in their barn, not just a split. Pickard could have had the 2nd.. but he once more demonstrated he can shake it off and settle things down, in spite of far fewer shots from the middle period on. On to game 2!

Also it might be early to be talking about this but.. remember after Vegas beat us before? Everyone was talking about how Woodcrofts man on man defense couldn’t get it done against a team like Vegas. Knoblauch wasn’t hired solely to counter Vegas, but he might be the major difference this time.

Cassidy has time to adjust, but we’re off to a great start. Take the next one and then drag them back to Edmonton really doubting themselves.
