Fast, and quick. Decent shot. Has a bit of skill. Smaller player, but will drop the gloves as a lightweight. Very responsible defensively. Mentally tough. Mediocre on FO's.

Good on PK, will create a few chances SH on breakaways.

Stats are low because of his heavy D zone, PK usage.

One of my favorite players. Sad, and a bit puzzled to see him go, as he is still a RFA, and likely won't be costly to re-sign. IMO, he's a better player than Duhaime, who got a 3rd. Might even beat him in a fight, even though he gives up 3-4 " and 25 lbs. to him.
thoughts on his final level of potential? awkwardly worded but you get the point lol

Doesn't matter who we get, if the big boys aren't the best players every series they wont win.
Meanwhile Pasta looked like he had more value than all of our "big boys" combined this week. That said they would all probably look that good playing against our defensive structure

Boston got Maroon... If you think Reaves will not be playing in the playoffs you have no idea what you're talking about. They didn't spend $1.3M for a player that's not in the playoffs plans. They got him for the playoffs, They didn't get him to beat up on people in the regular season.

Good, thats basically 5 vs 4.5 when he's on the ice.

Do you think Reaves is ever going to be on the ice with any of the big 4? If I'm Boston and I see the Leafs go out of their way to line match Maroon and Reaves I am celebrating

At least one of these guys was acquired for a 4th round pick.

The other 2 were part of a package were a 1st and 2nd or two 2nd round picks were traded.
Yeah the doobler had to leave his mark by paying the the wonder boy tax on his deals

Were either blackwell or lafferty former greyhounds by any chance

That goals + hits combo for a young 4th liner is a very significant add for our playoff run. One thing past management didn't do is build a real 4th line. We used it for assistant to the assistant GM auditions.

How do 2 Bruins beat on Lily last night & Marchand cheap shots Knies and nothing really gets done????
Honestly, Reaves just isn't doing his job consistently to justify a 4th line spot on this team. At least Dewar can pk and is speedy despite being small. He even has 10 goals and only -6 on a weak Wild team that has had goalie issues.

The focus for Treliving this deadline was clearly defense oriented players.

The problem is the Leafs don't play a defense oriented system. They never run a trap for any extended period of time. The focus under Keefe has always been offense.

Dewar will be lucky if he even sniffs the ice.

Keefe will play him like five minutes a game. As soon as the Leafs fall behind Dewar will be stapled to the bench. This guy doesn't move the needle in any way.

It's just another wasted pick.

Another lost chance at drafting a late round gem. Another wasted opportunity to add someone significant to the roster. Another lackluster deadline leaving fans wanting.

Another GM who seems to think cups are won on the backs of bottom of the roster scrubs who can't score goals.
