Connor Brown's Contract ($3,225,000 in signing bonus)

I didn’t understand how a guy like Brown garnered such a contract in the first place, and I damn sure don’t now.

If it was anyone besides the oilers, it would be sad.

Thankfully, it’s f***ing hilarious.

So the rule is to get the bonus structure under 35 years old is miss more than 100 days of the league’s 185-day season

Brown applied becuase of injuries thats why he is eligble
like corey perry was 34 but got a massive bonus structure because he missed enough games with knee surgery

perry was $250k added for each level of game played (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60) he played 58 games. That was 1.25m

Playoff qualify: 250k (check)
1st round win $250K (check)
Stanley Cup Finals $250K (check)
Win Cup $350K (Missed)

Edmonton could have structured it differently if they chose. But they folded for a pretty meager single benchmark.
Thanks.

These still aren’t like schedule A and B bonuses though.

I agree they could have structured differently. Moreso was asking if they could have structured like your example (goals/points) or can the bonuses only be games played and playoffs.
