I haven't followed Ottawa lately . How has Forsberg looked . I wish we kept him . Also how has MDZ looked , He would be the biggest concern

MDZ has been bad. Hasnt been able to stick in a very bad D lineup. I was hopeful and apparently he was solid the past two years, but he hasn't been good at all.

Forsberg has been ok. He's a 2/3 at best, has had some extremely good games and some not so good games.

The only value to Edmonton, really, would be ~$4m in cap space. MDZ could fill in or maybe play an insulated 3rd pair role. Forsberg could be a backup but not sure I'd be confident going into the playoffs with him as my #2. Definitely not a deal I would do from your perspective unless there was a plan & ability to add good players with that $4mil.

MDZ has been so bad that Josh Brown lost his whipping boy status
