List seems okay and I'm just being petty but:

Hall over Kane? Wtf lmao Hall averaged 1.86 ppg in his final year in the OHL. Kane averaged 2.5 ppg.

Gonna guess Canadian player hype a bit. Also Taylor was a lot bigger size wise coming into the draft then patrick.
100% agree with this. People forget how the league was different with there be significantly fewer small players and there was real concern if Kane would be able to handle the NHL. Hall had all the measurables and looked the part. Kane looked about 14 YO.

Yeah I forgot how small Kane was when he first entered the league.

True. Whereas the Taylor/Tyler debate didn't involve size - the Patrick/Kyle debate certainly did.
And JVR at one point as well. Keep in mind 3 players with over 130pts in Kanes year including 16 year old Tavares but 106 points won the scoring title for Hall. I recall it being quit up in the air Kane's year until the last quarter of the season maybe. I wouldn't have seen much to choose between them at that snapshot in time, The size I guess. Well they were wrong:)

IMO - it's funny to look at some draft years, especially with the Hawks luck last year.

In Kane's draft year - this was the top 10:

Kane
JVR
Turris
Hickey
Alzner
Gagner
Voracek
Hamill
Couture
Brandon Sutter

In a redraft the top 5-7 would include McDonough (11), Pacioretty (22), Backlund (24), Perron (26) after Kane. Just amazing that the if the Hawks didn't have the stones to take Kane, how bad the other options ended up.

Underrating couture hard I’d have him 2nd or 3rd best when it came to that first round. Definitely above Perron who was nothing more than a middle 6er

Jamie Benn was also drafted that year deep into the late rounds though which is wild since he is arguably the 2nd best player that draft

Thought this was interesting.

"I know a lot of the guys, obviously with our rookies and on Minnesota I know a lot of guys. St. Louis I might, but not 100 percent sure," Bedard said. "Just can't wait to play a game. It feels like it's been forever. Hopefully I'm still alright."

Probably best he plays against the Wild and not the Blues since he has alot of buddies on that side who probably won't head hunt like the St. Louis kids will.

kid will need to have that kane trait where he avoids big hits his entire career because people will be looking to light him up a lot, kane dealt with it forever and so will bedard...i'm sure he's dealt with it since his name started to get a lot of attention so should be nothing new, seems like every year we got prospects walking out of this tourney with a concussion

Knew he had a lot of shots in the game, but apparently he had 11 sog according to Power's recent article.

So 3 goals, 1 assist, and 11 shots on goal. Not a bad night for Connor.

I’m sorry but theirs no way Bedard doesn’t score 50 goals this year, the amount of chances and shots he takes…wow! He’ll for sure have 400-500 shits this season
