People like to point out that Bedard will have very little help on the team to get to 100 pts, but neither did Crosby when he did 102 pts his rookie season. McDavid's rookie season got cut short due to injury but ended a PPG player in the end, and I don't doubt he could have gotten 100+ pts had he been able to play the full season.
Will Bedard score 100 pts, it's not impossible, but I have him pegged at around a PPG player. But it's not the end of the world if he just manages 65ish points in his rookie season.

You know what I meant.

Do you think Bedard will hit the 100 point mark in 2023-24?

As much as I’d like to see it… I really can’t picture him cracking 100 points with this roster.

Although, Crosby/Ovi both cracked 100 points as rookies on piss poor rosters so anything is possible.

And they handed out powerplays like Candy that year. I know scoring is closer to those right out of lockout years, but they're not likely high enough to get 100 pts out if Bedard so quickly

To get a 100 points, he'd really have to rack up a lot of assists. I just don't know where those goals are going to come from. I still think he'll end up somewhere around the 80 point mark.

I remember having multiple discussions with the analytics community on twitter that I thought their historical KHL scoring numbers were way off and it was causing Michkovs projections to come in way over what was reality. Now this is posted today, and it correlates pretty well across the VHL, MHL and KHL

Common sense told most people that the KHL was, in fact, a declining league. And it will continue to be, until the Russia/Ukraine situation is resolved.

Video from NHL.com talking about the Chicago Bedards Blackhawks this year. They conservatively think Connor could go PPG as a rookie.

They also asked two current NHLers to guess his rookie totals; Makar only predicts 50, while Fox says 80.

I think its
1. NHL
2. AHL
3. SHL
4. KHL
5. NLA
6. Liiga

Pretty positive about the top 3, after that its a toss up.

I think the AHL is a good bit above the SHL now as well.

Absolute zero chance that NLA is better than AHL. KHL is also not anywhere near the AHL anymore.

So Makar is indirectly predicting that Bedard will be bitten by the injury bug because that would be, imo, the only way Bedard is only at 50 points in his rookie year. Fox is about where I would put Bedard.
