Patriots/NFL Conference Championship Match-ups set: Josh McDaniels returning to Patriots as offensive coordinator

Do you truly believe this, or is this just frustration with the outcome?

I lost a decent chunk of change betting the Bills ML, and even I ain’t going there…
Let's just say the Chjefs have received very favorable officiating since Taylor Swift started dating Kelce

Goodell Loves Taylor Swift and all the extra revenue and interest she's brought to the league

I don't know man, watching that 3rd/4th down sequence again...if that's just a normal football game we're getting the ref running in signaling first down and we move on. I don't see how you can deny Buffalo a 1st down there from that two play sequence.
They botched the spot on 3rd down. I agree. But I don’t think they made the line to gain on 4th down. That’s on Buffalo.

Enough to jeopardize the league to fix games? Do you think the owners (his boss) are complicit in this, or is Goodell just going rogue?

did they ever show a replay of FIRST play here? That looks like a first down on 3rd down play.

I mentioned that earlier in post #844

Kincaid HAD the first down on the 3rd and 3 play before his knee touched the ground, and the ref moved the ball back

People who say reffing doesn't play a big part in winning or losing aren't paying attention

Ask the Houston Texans

..they were definitely screwed by the reffing
I’m asking you. Do you think the other owners of NFL teams would be complicit in this? Including Houston.

Just wanna make sure I’m following the logic here….. The NFL had a vendetta against NE because they didn’t like the Patriots winning all the time, but they WANT KC to win all the time because of Taylor Swift and because they still are bitter about the Patriot dynasty.

Do I have that right?

There would be way too many moving parts and loose lips to get away with legitimately rigging the NFL, but the Chiefs have gotten absolutely every break imaginable since 2019 and it's pretty questionable

That I can agree with 100%.

I think it’s incredibly disrespectful to what KC has accomplished by trying to diminish their achievements by insinuating that the fix is in. Just like the people who diminished NE’s accomplishments by insinuating that they were cheaters.

I've read some interesting books over the years that talked about "manipulation" in sports, and it's never about vendetta's or revenge

Manipulation of any game or sport usually comes down to one thing, and one thing only. "Money"

So how is the NFL making more money, other than a few more Travis Kelce Jersey sales? Honest question..

They’re already locked in on their major TV contracts until 2033.

That wasn't the first time in the game, that happened to The Bills, they were marked short a couple of times before that, when they should have been given a first down.

I mentioned it as well live.

The "human error" has far more impact than it should in these sports where billions are now profited and gambled. Adds a lot of skepticism to the integrity seeing as the NFL always aligns with this Mahomes era.

$$$

Find technology to determine spot of ball.

What way to make more $$ than to sell an even "better" dynasty than the last one?

The logic is there for the people with the authority.

Great teams tend to get extra calls, that's absolutely true. Refs always give stars and great teams the benefit of the doubt. They also tend to play more important games at home than ont he road, and on the whole "home field advantage" is just refs intimidated by their environment.

But after watching Rob Gronkowski get reffed differently than every other player in the league for years, in ways that absolutely cost the Patriots wins sometimes, this is pretty funny to see.

Can anyone remember a single bad, game-altering call going against the Chiefs? Every major f*** up goes their way. Obvious replays don't get overturned when it hurts them. Refs put away their whistles for Kansas City them while the Chiefs get ticky tack calls all the time.

It sucks to watch. It's boring as shit.
