So how is the NFL making more money, other than a few more Travis Kelce Jersey sales? Honest question..

They’re already locked in on their major TV contracts until 2033.

Those contracts to the NFL are locked in but the networks that paid those contracts earn revenue that raises or lowers depending on ratings.

You don't pay an entity billions of dollars with out 'expectations' perhaps, that ratings will always be high.

The networks have advertisers to answer to as well. Mahomes is the face of at least 4 national ad campaigns, if i'm paying a network huge money for 30 second ad slots, i better damn well see my guy.

The money is huge, unfathomably so.

It's telling when neutral fans (not Patriots or Chiefs fans) all have the common sentiment of missing the Brady Patriots. The prevailing thought is they miss the Patriots because Brady simply was better and beat you straight up and the Chiefs always get help to win.

It'd be one thing if a pure judgment call that can't be reviewed goes in their favor (Bill Belichick is right when he says everything should be reviewable)

When we are seeing things like dubious roughing the passer calls combined with Mahomes clearly flopping on plays (last week and the playoff game against Cincy in recent years), a disputed catch hit the ground and not controlled by either player be ruled a catch or two bad spots on first down conversions...these types of plays should not be difficult to officiate with replay assist etc. It really should not be this difficult to eliminate the officiating mistakes that are being made.

The replay stuff is the most egregious and what I have the hardest time explaining away in good faith.

A ref falling for a QB flop when they've been hammered to protect QBs doesn't set off alarm bells even if it's infuriating.

Blatant replay mistakes....I don't know what to do with that.

For me.. it’s not about Mahomes catching Brady’s rings record, not about Kelce scoring more TD’s than Gronk. I just dislike Mahomes and Kelce. Mahomes is just “goofy”. His voice and his awkward running stance that’s very giraffe-like just rubs me the wrong way. Kelce is just a complete clown. Total scrub who can’t go 10 seconds without saying “bro”. Awful NYG teams that should have been blown out. Did they even make the playoffs any other seasons?

Getting the 2 best franchises in the NFC twice is honestly somewhat unlucky. 4-0 vs SF and Philly will be very impressive and offset a loss to Tampa during a year that doesn't even count in any other sports. (NFL is a TV sport and didn't do any stupid bubbles but no one acknowledged the Dodgers/Lakers/Lightning titles that year.)
