When a celebrity dies, I usually have no idea who he/she is.

For example, the first time in my life I heard the name Amy Winehouse was after she died and friends were talking about her. When I asked who she was I got strange looks.

Michael Jackson was a very exceptional situation where a celebrity died and I knew who it was.

I just learned that putting salt on green apples is a common practice...

Maybe that's because, you know, salt pairs well with almost every fruit. Apples, watermelon, strawberries, bananas, etc. But I wouldn't see it's a common practice for eating raw fruits like this (no cooking, no salad, etc)
