Oilers fan here as well...I sincerely feel bad your team got pillaged by Hanson and Furlatt. Hanson has a M.O. for both playoff and regular season games so as soon as I seen these two jabronies were calling this game, I thought "Poor Winnipeg. They're going to get fisted". With these two, it's not 50/50 it's 100/0 for the US team.
He'll call a couple of penalties throughout the game. Then, in the third if a Western Canadian team other than Vancouver (he's from Richmond) is either up or it's tied, he practically always calls a penalty on them late in the game. If it goes to OT, as you seen he ignores the blatant shit (Pionk cross checked head first into the boards, the hook) on the western team. He's not even dogshit. He's the fly that lands on the dog shit and revels in all its glory.

Over the long haul it all evens out. Maybe today we got the short end. That does suck. Jets play a full game today and we win. In spite of the refs.

just because reffing is awful doesn't mean it evens out, some teams will get the short end of the stick over the course of the regular season of playoffs
It better be Capo coming in and Fly too unless he's clinically brain dead. This is do or die time.
I agree, penalties all even out over the game, and series. When you have to start blaming the Refs, your team is in trouble.

I like Capo better. But honestly wouldn't mind seeing Stanley meet Stone either.

I think Stanley proved his worth when he took out Kaprizov, I'm not saying he should go out there being a head hunter, I'm just saying you never know when a guy like Stanley can be a momentum turner.
We saw the same thing with the 2021 playoffs.
He's not reliable, but if his upside shows up in just one game, that's one game of 3 this team needs to win.
At this point they pretty much have to accept they're playing for their team at this point.
Honestly I think people are trying to act like this was some devastating loss. This was always gonna be a long shot for the jets.
Jets just have to keep pushing the pace and they will get the calls too. Vegas is going to wear down and Bros is a pretender

Went for a walk to help clear my head. I want to be in good spirits for my kid Monday and ready to do my part in the White Out. Today was gutting but at least the team showed some balls. I can live with that.

I dont know. That was exciting as hell but sometimes the better team just wins. We saw in game 1 it takes a perfect game by the Jets and I dont know how many we have in us.

I hope that the Jets can take this series at least to 6 or 7 games, but unless they get back a couple guys ( Ehlers) they are a bit overmatched. The only way they can win is with a "total team effort" and it's very possible. Well see what happens.

I also think it's weird that it's like surprising that the first seed team who skating a roster with over 100 million in cap hits due to obvious cap cheating, is getting chances. What a weird thing to consider
With Morrissey out now, I think we should go with 11F and 7D for Mon.
We will see what kind of character this Jets team has in the next game, being down 2- 1 in the series. I expect at least a great effort, and a really close game. You never know, the Jets could tie this series up. If we lose the next game, this series is over.

I thought Helly looked off today too. Kind of awkward moving a few times. Maybe over playing him down the stretch is catching up. Too bad because if he was on we win. His bounce back games are usually good though.

Looked off on that second eichal goal, initially thought he had it cause he was ready to get it
He did shut the door later made some good saves but wasn't his usual sharp in rhe afternoon
I like wpgcheif but Stats are not the end all be all. It is big that they gave up three goals and allowed us to take it to OT
Pretty much confirms what I saw out there today. Jets vastly outplayed for the majority of the game.
