Post-Game Talk: Comeback falls short Jets lose 5-4

Mediocre goalie in the first period, mediocre forwards in the second, great team effort in periods three and four. Too bad it had to end in the fifth with an accidental deflection.

Small selfish benefit: I have to glam up and go sit at a bar for several hours and now I don't need to rush back to the laptop every few seconds.

I'm predicting we come out flying on Monday and play the first two periods as the Jets really can. It might be tough without Morrissey and I'm not expecting Ehlers to appear, but we can still do this if our guys play the system for all three periods.

I think this game really brings the team together, if they didn't know it before the Knights came here to win by any means possible and the first 2 periods backed it up, start on time on Monday.

Without Ehlers, and now Morrissey, I don't like the Jets chances to take this series. Hopefully Ehlers can get back for the next game ? They are in tough right now, and this next upcoming game is a must win for the Jets.

Note -- on the post game Bowness said that Morrissey is out for the rest of the series.

I thought scheifele was good tonight, in the first 2 periods he made some good defensive plays then got that huge goal in the 3rd

Not really false though. If he didn’t let in those two goals on the first 2 shots it would have been a totally different game. I’d love to see a stat of how many of the first 3 shots he faces in a game he lets in. I’m sure he leads the league in that stat by far.
Right off the bat you’re digging yourself out of a huge hole down 2-0 before the game barely even starts.
