Anybody know what's up with the tickets on Ticketmaster? Looks like several seats available for Monday in 117 - 122, but need to enter a code to get them.

Assuming perhaps these are being held back for people who buy (in the next 3 days) season tix for next year. :dunno:

Edit: Nevermind.... looking at the wrong date... Hell getting old...

I'm considering coming in for Monday's game and I just don't trust Mapquest, is the Hyatt Regency within (safe) walking distance of the arena? Is it an OK place?

Would you suggest another place? Gotta be within walking distance after the game.

Thanks

THe Hyatt Regency is about one block from the Arena and the area is very safe - particularly after a hockey game with thousands of people in the area. The Hyatt is a nice place. Another close option is the Hilton - it just opened a year or so ago and is also one block away.

yes, it's definitely within walking distance and is a perfectly fine hotel. Drury Inn, Hilton, and Hampton Inn are other viable options depending on how much you want to pay.

Thanks, I travel for work a little and usually stay at a Hyatt (gotta pile up those points).

Good luck to your team the rest of the way.

I sure hope you fail and can't get tickets when you are in town.

My daughter received her playoff tickets a few days ago. Four sets of tix, each in their own plastic cover, four tickets in each cover. She was under the impression (and financial obligation) that she had 4 seats together for all home playoff games. We were all excited!

Then, yesterday she checked her online account to make sure everything was set up OK. She discovered that we had NO tickets for Monday night, and only had 2 tickets for Wednesday's game. She called the ticket reps. Turns out the tickets they sent Fed Ex are useless - a mistake on their part. Rep said her reduced quantity (2 instead of 4) seats are not even in her section (212 where her full season tickets are), but in 204.

A word to the wise.........check your online accounts now to verify that you all have the tickets you're suppose to have.

This whole experience is a joke. What a way to treat the fanbase. Daughter still can't get an answer on how much she actually is being billed, or even how many games & seats she's going to get.

I signed up for season tickets for myself a month ago.......I'll be canceling that this morning. I'd rather buy future tix from scalpers............seems like they're more trustworthy.

Is she a full season ticket holder, or partial (1/2 or less)???

I believe you are only guaranteed your same seats for playoffs if you are a FSTH, anything else you are guaranteed "similar seats"; only FSTH's are guaranteed their tickets to ALL playoff home games. I'm not exactly sure, but I believe all PSTHs get a combination of their seats to one or the other (meaning one or the other of the first two guaranteed home games, per round), and an opportunity to buy more in pre-sale where ever you fall in the stacking order (Full, 1/2, 1/4, 6-game, Flag Bearer email subscribers, general public). I would ask someone who is a PSTH to confirm that for you, I'm not 100% on how that works.

Now, as to the 4 tickets she received... Here's what I received as a FSTH.

The way it appears to have been done this year, the CBJ sent out hard tickets, 1 per seat for each round. As a FSTH, I got 4 tickets, one for each seat I have, per round, for a total of 16 tickets. Now the 4 tickets for round 1 are loaded with each possible game for the round (3 games per ticket, per seat), and are labeled individually for which round they are for (quarter, semi, conference finals, Stanley Cup). From what I've seen, all STH's got this package for their playoff tickets in the same manner.

So if your daughter has 4 tickets as a PSTH, she would receive the same number of tickets I have, but her tickets would only be loaded with the 1 home game she was guaranteed to receive as a PSTH, in this case it sounds like Wednesday's game for her, so that would be the only ticket loaded on to her account.

Now, as to why she received 4 sets of tickets, but only has 2 seats, I can't explain and may have been a shipping mishap on the CBJ side. But, you said... "Four sets of tix, each in their own plastic cover, four tickets in each cover." To me, that sounds a lot like she has 2 seats, and received a total of 8 tickets, which would be correct. One ticket for each seat, for each of the 4 rounds. The tickets should be labeled with what round they are for if you read them. Not so sure there is anything really wrong with what the CBJ sent you, and maybe just a misconception on how the playoff ticketing was being done.

Little lengthy, I know, but hopefully this helps explain some things for you and we can retain you among the CBJ faithful!

You almost sound like a rep.

I wish this situation never got messy because I'm going to have clean up the mess soon here as well. I was a flex holder this year, and upgraded to quarter next season. I am with a brand new ticket rep since nobody informed me my sales rep quit midseason. My new guy seems nice enough and claims to have me good to go, but I still haven't received any tickets for game 4 which were apparently overnighted on monday. Only to recently find out I wasnt even billed for my new ticket package even after I drove down from cleveland for the open house event before the game against the isles. so had I not investigated I wouldnt be going to the playoffs.

I am probably the most simple customer, and they make it a hassle. And now once I do receive my tickets, Im going to have to worry about how much I am being billed for them. Makes me second guess my upgraded plan for next season, especially since I probably wont get to see the actual all star game and will get stuck with skills competition. I just know it.

I can assure you, I'm not a rep. ... but my family has been STHs since 2000, we've had our fair share of struggles to.

Unfortunately, ticket reps seem to be an entry level job, so they get cycled more often than not which can be a pain.

You're not the only person who has had those issues... a friend of mine bought two extra tickets off his FSTH account and they double billed him for those. Made the call, got it credited back, but it is a hassle.

I was commenting more on that it didn't seem that they understood how the tickets were working... they got what they were supposed to, but didn't read the tickets to realize they were for different rounds and assumed they were 4 tickets to each of the 1st two home games.

Just purchased 2 club level seats on ticketmaster for $130/each on the aisle. Pretty good value considering the prices on Stubhub right now. They opened it up to buyers outside Ohio today. I'll be flying in direct from LA and get into Port CMH about 5:30. Praying my flight is on time so I can get down to the arena in time.

Looking for a standing room only ticket to any of the home games. Went to one vs Detroit and I'd like to be there this time around. Also, if I get shut out are they doing the theater viewing like they did back then? PM or reply if possible. Thanks.

I believe they will only sell SRO tickets once everything is sold out, and only from the arena box office. Not 100% sure, but I don't think they would sell a SRO ticket when there was still others available.

*** edit *** Looks like there is some ARO on Stubhub. I'd really be interested to know how and when they release those tickets sometime.

Looks to already be a line about 100 people deep this morning at the arena, so I'd get there if you want a ticket.

I have tickets in Club for Game 6 if necessary. I will sell to Blue Jacket fans at face value. I would much rather sell to CBJ fans than list on stubhub and risk them getting picked up by Penguin fans. PM me for details.

Now that CBJ fans are coming out of hibernation, what are suggestions for "near" arena district pre-gaming? AKA, not Gordon Biersch, three legged mare or R-bar? Good happy hour, easier to find seating, maybe patio seating if nice weather?

I got down to arena district at 4:10 yesterday and Gordon Biersch already had all their tables in bar and patio taken. I really like their $3.20 in-house happy hour and the slider brat appetizer. R-Bar was obviously packed.

We ended up walking on up to Brothers. That place was a disaster. It's like no one told them there was a 19,000 seat arena a block away that hosts big events like Stanley Cup Playoff games. I think they only had 3 waitresses for the whole bar, and it's a HUGE bar. They did NOT open the patio bar, where a huge crowd of patrons were mingling. We ordered food at 5:23 (according to receipt), but at 6:15, still had no food and waitress reports to us that they "dropped your order". It took forever to get a beer. We started telling her to "Just bring us another round" with our cups still 2/3rds full.

And speaking of "full beer", the kicker was that they had happy hour prices for Pints. But ran out of Pint glasses, so they were serving "Pint" beers in 14 oz plastic cups. However, still charging "pint" prices (on the receipt). The waitress said it's "only about an ounce or so difference" and "we don't have a way to correct the pricing in the register".

The County Auditor's Department of Weight and Measurements will be calling them today to help them figure out a way to fix their registers:nod:

EDIT UPDATE: Turns out that both the glasses and plastic cups are 14 oz. The glasses just look bigger. The menu does say 14 oz servings, but the cash register was programmed to say "Pints" Auditor's department told them to correct the receipts.
