Yes, and Foligno turned around and said things to him. I’m assuming literally to thrown him off his game. CBJ are still up a goal at that point, f***ing relax.

The yelling and theatrical shit is ridiculous. Most guys showing “emotion” are almost always in response to themselves making a mistake. The body language and reactions from Elvis are almost ALWAYS directed toward his teammates.

I also don’t think he’s actually been good. This game or this year in general. Goaltending is still an issue.

I thought I was the only one who noticed foligno doing that. no one said anything about it on twitter or here or reddit.

I wondered what the heck that was. foligno scored and immediately turned around and gave elvis the business, jawing at him.

Mateychuk has not achieved anything yet. Let's start with Harris, he's a completely useless player.
Well, how’s he supposed to “achieve” anything if he’s not actually in the NHL? Literally all he needs is the opportunity.

Harris has almost nothing to do with it. He’s a depth defenseman. Provorov is an upcoming UFA with at least some decent value to other teams across the league.

Provorov and Mateychuk are extremely similar types of defenseman that play similar roles on the ice, while being at completely different stages in their careers.

Not to nitpick, but Kuraly had 0 TOI shorthanded. Hes been completely removed from the unit and replaced with KJ I believe.
Right, that’s why he’s in paragraph 2. Now tell me his PK numbers for the entire year, and the past, and why you think Evason has taken him OFF the penalty kill…

I never said I disagreed with you. I don’t know if he’s been on the kill much at all this year, maybe during KJ’s injury.

Oh 100%, I’m just glad it wasn’t perceived as my imagination again. I’d like to believe it was a “veteran” trying to throw a weak minded goalie off his game, but, it seemed MORE than that.

Like MOST of Elvis’ on ice body language I noticez. Red flags everywhere with the guy. STILL. And he’s the same goalie, skill wise.

I guess this is a good time to again ask why Foligno was traded, and we went out of our way to both pay the money we did and put letters on the jerseys of guys like Roslovic and Kuraly?

Jackets 16th in points percentage.. the team 15th? calgary.

HUGE game tuesday night
We are dropping to 17th as I write this and Bruins finish up their victory over Montreal.

Really what matters is our standings in the Eastern Conference. Now we will be 3rd in WC race behind Bruins.

Do you know what really matters? This team is playing meaningful games in December and isn’t out of the playoff picture
Whether they make the playoffs or not isn’t really the issue in my mind
It’s that they are competitive, fun to watch, and you can see the young players growing up before our eyes
And they are doing all of this without rushing any of the prospects but letting them develop which is what is supposed to happen
Fun times indeed!

I completely agree. Being in the WC discussion is part of the definition of "playing meaningful games".

I can agree with you on Harris. He has shown nothing.

But…..you don’t expect Mateychuk will prove to be better than Provorov? IMO you’re dead wrong. But we will see.

I mean he probably will but nothing is guaranteed. As prospects I rated Provorov higher than Mateychuk. He did go above Werenski for a reason once upon a time
