What a great finish to the game. Michkov is so exciting to watch because he’s one of the few players that can actually deliver in big moments. I can only imagine him in his prime.

That Farabee breakaway looked like someone playing EA NHL and pushing up on the skating controller but letting go of the stick controls. That dude has zero offensive confidence right now.

Am I imagining this or is Sanheim a bit less noticeable offensively since York returned?

Risto had another solid game.

When Drysdale is back what would you do? I’d rather not play him but that’s not an option. He’s just not very good in the games I’ve seen him play.

Sanheim/Risto
Andrae/Seeler
York/Drysdale

Maybe something like that?

Sidenote, when I saw Luke Schenn on the Preds, it kinda made me realize that trade was just like the Gauthier trade.

Schenn for JVR. Drysdale for Gauthier.

We got the worse player in both trades.

RE: Sanheim

Think he is more noticable offensively when he is at LD compared to RD with York

He's gonna have to play games if you want any decent trade return

I don’t. They don’t want the optics of losing the trade, to have to answer for - but he’s going to take playing time away for a guy that’s on his way out of the league in a few years imo.

Just admit the loss, and move on. Andrae, Grans, and Zamula should play instead of Humpty Dumpty.

It's a little early to give up on Drysdale.
It's a "rebuild," remember?
Grans to me has flashed talent, but looks at times to be over his head. Sending him back to LHV for a few months won't hurt his development.

York - Sanheim
Andrae - Risto
Seeler/Zamula - Drysdale

Then see what happens, do you get a good offer for Risto, does Drysdale show enough improvement to stick with him.

By April you might have:

York - Sanheim
Andrae - Zamula
Seeler - Grans

Drysdale can’t stay healthy for shit to develop properly.

It’s asinine to invest any kind of contract for a player like that, or plan to have him in the lineup going forward.

Was the case the day of the trade, as it is now. Eject.

Not only that, his offensive development will by second to his defensive development. Ghost had had best year when he ignored hak per his quote. Drysdale won't do that with Torts I bet. Shaw better fix his dzone asap or there is no hope

Legend has it that Giles Corey of Salem was the original Flyer. He was crushed to death by a stone. His last words were supposedly, “Fly or die.” He died of course, but what inner strength! Not enough inner strength to avoid being crushed of course. But what character!
When I lived in Salem I lived on a street adjacent to the one where he was “pressed”.

I loved living there. It’s kind of a small version of a big city. Just stay away during the month of October, it’s insane.

I went to Salem around July 4th a handful of years ago — stopover from Boston to Portland — and I had to steer my family away from the tourist trap witch stuff (mostly succeeded). I enjoyed visiting the empty Salem Customs House (chatting up a bored NPS worker) and the House of the Seven Gables, having read Hawthorne. The main drag is what it is, but it got quaint a pretty short walk away. I very much liked that part.

A lot of those touristy places only stay in business because of the money they make during October. Anyone who visits Salem should go to the Peabody-Essex museum. It’s excellent.
