Nov 14, 2005 · Blue Jackets defenseman Adam Foote scored the winning goal 36 seconds into OT to give the Jackets (3-6) a 3-2 victory.

My favorite memory of a game may be dawning upon our team yet again...
The 2nd home playoff game against Detroit is by far my "favorite" memory. The crowd was loud, and I mean LOUD. It felt so electric in the building, and looking around from my seats in 212 Row B, you could see that this is a great city for hockey and Columbus can be much more than just "The Buckeye Town".
My 2nd favorite memory is not game related... but in college I was delivering pizza and took an order over to JLGP. Awesome guy, and he signed my hat

I've attended many big-time sporting events, but that game had the most intensity I've ever experience in any venue! The place was alive and vibrating!

October 7, 2000. I had a seat above Jocelyn Thibault in the last row and I was wearing my white practice jersey with Stinger’s head on it. I was hooked from day one.
Nash’s goal against Chicago to put us in the playoffs. I was in college and I used to watch all the games by myself in my bedroom because my roommates had no interest in hockey. I watched almost all 82 games that way so them making the playoffs was a very personal experience. I can still remember fist pumping and cheering alone in my room and then sitting down on my bed to collect myself and almost crying as I watched the postgame interviews.
The last game against Nashville last season. Down a goal going into the third and to fight back and win like they did. And that crowd! They only played 48 games and they were only good for half of them, but that will probably always be my favorite CBJ team. That’s the team that rescued us from the doldrums.
Calvert’s hatty against Phoenix in the 10-11 season. The building was rocking that night and I got stranded downtown alone so I bought a ticket behind Mason from a scalper for like $25. One of the best games I’ve ever been to and I went alone.
The 2007 draft. I went because I was mostly interested in seeing our new uniforms. Watched Yellowcard play a horrible set of songs on the pavilion, and then went inside, booed Gary Bettman, waited until the Blue Jackets took Voracek seventh and then left.

Trading Jeff Carter and Jack Johnson’s excitability at playing here was awesome. He wanted to play here and he replaced our petulant dressing room baby. JJ has done so much to change the culture here. Also signing Horton was a watershed moment for me. The best free agent on the market wanted to come here and we didn’t have to grossly overpay the way we have in the past. Players now want to play here and that hasn’t been the case for much of this team’s history.
And this season after the slow start and injuries to see it all come together may be the most satisfying thing I’ve ever experienced as a sports fan. This is a good team and other teams don’t want to play them. It’s so much fun to finally be on this side of the NHL.

-The never ending shootout vs. Calgary. 12-13 rounds before Malhotra scored the winner.
-Third period comeback vs. Anaheim, 2006-07
-06-07 win over Buffalo at home (the OKT hit on Kotalik was this game).
-The 2008-09 season.
-8-3 beatdown of Detroit at the Joe.
-The emergence of the Nashless CBJ that made a gutty, improbable 19-5-5 run to (almost) the playoffs last season.
-Gaborik trade. The fact that the Columbus Blue Jackets had put themselves into a position to get a weapon like Gaborik who was willing to waive the NTC to come here was pretty damn cool.
-The Nashville regular season finale last year.
-The fact that, at least at the present time, we may actually have a legit hockey team two years in a row.
My first game in-person was the 400th CBJ game, 3-28-06 against San Jose. It was a 4-1 win. Hoping for a similar result tomorrow.

me personally was a game against Detroit, been 3 or so years now...heckling Joey MacDonald from 109 row C...it was the "Even the Islanders didn't want you, that's how bad you are" line that made him turn around and just stare at me with a WTF look on his face...we won the game 3-0

That and being up 3-0 over Chicago in our first regular season game, Chicago came back to win but man that first game was fun.

Yes, it was.
I went to that game thinking, "please let us score at least once so the crowd can cheer" which quickly went to "oh my god, we're gonna win this!"
Unfortunately not, but the first part of that game was amazing.
Recently, that Friday night game on Jan 10 where Bob was lights out and the whole place was chanting his name. Fantastic crowd that night, throat hurt after the game.

Around Christmas 2009 with the season already slipping away Freddie Modin scored an overtime winner to break a 0-0 tie against Detroit. I was so happy that the thousands of Red Wings fans in attendance left with literally nothing to cheer about.
I think we lost like the next four games after that and never recovered.

Bryan Trottier was the coach of the Rangers when that line brawl occurred. Sandy McCarthy fighting Tyler Wright, I believe Barnaby was out there for the Rangers. JD was still in the booth for MSG. I think that Grant Marshall was also on the ice for the Jackets. I know that it was a mismatch in the Rangers favor but our guys held their own. Wright absolutely flipped his lid in that game.

Bar none, game four of the playoff series. There is noise and then there is noise that has feel. The noise in that barn that night was more than just feel. I've been to concerts with less feel.
Was in attendance for Rick Nash's first goal. Wasn't sure he would develop into the player he is now.
Loved the games during the first year. The team wasn't talented but they fought like heck and left everything on the ice. We've gotten back to that and it's serving this organization well.

They did a preseason game at the Nutter Center in Dayton that year. I didn't go but they showed it on public access.
