Geoff Sanderson game winner in OT against Boston at home.

Rick Nash goal vs. Phoenix.

Zherdev goal vs. Chicago.

My excitement after the Fedorov/Gaborik trades.

Bobrovsky's Vezina run, putting the team on his back.

My first ever game was also the Blue Jackets first ever home win. Oct 27 '00 vs Washington. I was just a kid but I will never forget that game, amazing memory to have.

I've seen at least 3 or 4 hat tricks over the years too, some of them I can't remember for the life of me, but I remember being there for Filatov's, Umberger's back in 11-12, and also Nash's New Years Eve hat trick back in 2007.

Also remembered being amazed one night when Joe Sakic got a hatty in the 1st Period. Those Avalanche teams were a force.

Obviously the Playoff games were awesome along with our entire run last season, some great memories.

What excites me most is the next 1000 games, honestly. We've been to hell and back with this team, over and over, but it seems now that the good times are here to stay, we have leadership with a vision of the Stanley Cup and we may just have the players in our system to do it eventually.

Remember this one? Still feel bad for Derek Morris ... that was brutal!

The two that stand out the most for me: The drubbing from the Nashville Predators that got Dave King fired the next day. I believe this is the last Jackets game I attended before I left Columbus (have been back since ... which leads me to...)

The last Jackets game I've attended live; the 2003-04 home opener against the New York Rangers, probably the most impressive Jackets game I've been to. To put that into perspective, Daryl Sydor was on the team.

Other memories are pretty all over the board. I love the team we've been entertained with over the last two years; easily the two most entertaining, from Johansen's stellar play down the stretch last year (notably, the game against San Jose), to watching the whole thing gel this year and seeing the early fruition of our finally being able to draft and develop our own talent. Probably one of the coolest for me is knowing the 170 pound kid that came out of Portland a few years ago - the guy that many people around here grew to loathe - now being a star player and leader for the Jackets. Never knew Brandon Dubinsky would become the type of player he has, though looking back, it's easy to see.

It's been fun, and I think we're only starting to see the beginning of a long stretch of success.

I was at the RBar for that game and at the first home win too. I also remember listening to the first win at Calgary on the radio since it wasn't on TV. Then there was the line brawl vs the Rangers.

Tyler Wright's hat-trick against Toronto with OT gamewinner and a full line brawl with the Rangers (Wright also took part in it).

Four or five years ago when Buffalo inexplicably brought like 4,000 fans to Nationwide and then lost - One of the most satisfying regular season wins ever

The excitement of going up to Detroit to see the first playoff game

How awesomely funny our playoff avatars were

F'ING LINESMAN!!!!

Seeing the look on Tyler Wright's face when Boomer was unveiled at Tuttle

The Jacket Backers bus trip to Nashville two seasons ago: three busses and our first win there in forever = euphoria on Broadway

Rick Nash doing seriously impossible things

Raffi Torres with a string of super clutch goals

Huselius hitting the post EVERY DAMN TIME

Having the worst draft every draft

Commodore's money shot

"Just a city boy / born and raised in..."

Getting to see Lemieux play and just being mesmerized

My pal Gene Mullet tipping me a pair of Red Wings tickets in 2001 when I worked at Larry's

Still wearing the same jersey and hat I got before the first season

Making the rookie mistake of buying a $3-6 hat trick hat during the second period break multiple times with no happy ending

Manny's Hat 'trick" when they changed the 3rd goal to someone else AFTER everyone threw hats (that was my favorite hat! I kissed it before I threw it!)

Berard's freakish eyeball

The energy of our last home game last season, and the totally real, fully organic chant of "C - B- J ! C - B - J !" that spontaneously occurred. Gives me goosebumps still.

I guess I could go on and on. This is making me realize how important this team has been to me, so, thanks for your indulgence regarding my lengthy post. Can't wait for the next thousand!

I have one obscure but very vivid personal memory. It occurred during our first win against the Caps. Tyler Wright pinned a Cap with his face right against the glass. Wright egged the fans to "get him" and Wright held the guy with his face squished against the glass while EVERYBODY was pounding on this guys face against the glass. Finally when he let the guy go, Wright ducked. Sure enough, the Cap guy came around swinging his stick to get Wright and, you guessed it, the Cap nailed the ref who was coming over to break it up, in the head, almost knocked him out. Needless to say, the Cap was given a huge 10 minute misconduct penalty and as he was being forced in to the penalty box he was screaming at the officials about what Wright had done to him. Wright, for his part, was laughing like crazy and gave a big thumbs up to all of the fans who had beaten on the Cap's face.

Second special personal moment. David Vyborny took a pass from Nash as DV was flying down the left hand side. Due to the angle I could see DV's face perfectly. DV's eyes light up like fire when he saw this opening and he fired a laser shot that ripped past the goalie's glove into that exact spot at which he was aiming. The ability to see the look on DV's face and the incredible skill that it took to put that puck in the exact space where DV saw the opening, was amazing.

Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002. Home game v. Calgary. A certain Jacket player had scored two goals and, as the third period wore on, it was apparent the Jackets were not going to be challenged, holding a 3-0 lead. Which led one fan to shout to the bench (from section 103, row D), "Come on Kinger! Put him out there so he can try for a hat trick. Come on Kinger! Double-shift Lasse!"

*pause*

"I think I had one of those at Starbucks."
